for_heaven's_Saint Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Although we are unlikely to catch anyone above us, in the last 5 games we can cement 8th place and need just 5 points to better out highest ever points tally in the Premier League (52 in 02/03). All 5 are winnable games, though Jrod will be a big miss, especially in the away games. How many points do you think we'll get? My predictions: Southampton 3-1 Cardiff (3 points) Villa 1-1 Southampton (1 point) Southampton 1-2 Everton (0 points) Swansea 1-2 Southampton(3 points) Southampton 1-1 Man U (1 point) 8 more points. Finishing in 8th place on 56.
trousers Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saints 4 Cardiff 0 Villa 2 Saints 2 Saints 0 Everton 0 Swansea 1 Saints 1 Southampton 1 Man Utd 2 6 points
Saint Garrett Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 I just worry about us without JRod, he is the only bit of pace we have and we all become a bit predictable without him.
Hatch Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Southampton 0-1 Cardiff (0 points) Villa 2-0 Southampton ( 0 point) Southampton 1-2 Everton (0 points) Swansea 1-1 Southampton(1 points) Southampton 1-4 Man U (0 point)
Olallana Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 I really want to win against Villa to repay the debt from the home game....
Dan Johnson Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Southampton 2-0 Cardiff (3 points) Villa 0-1 Southampton (3 points) Southampton 1-1 Everton (1 points) Swansea 1-1 Southampton (1 points) Southampton 1-1 Man U (1 point) 9 more points. Finishing in 8th place on 57
Dalek2003 Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saints to beat Cardiff, Villa and Swansea, lose the others. 9 points. If we do that then a fantastic season. Hopefully the management are already building to next season. J Rod a massive loss, I cannot see him returning until December. My hope is that he returns to his best.
CB Saint Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Beat the welsh draw at villa, lose to everton and get a hiding from manure - I have a nasty feeling that they are beginning to hit some form - 7points
corky morris Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Without Jay Rod I think we get 2 points, sorry, with draws at Villa & Swansea.
nta786 Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Cardiff- Win Villa- Draw Everton- Loss (we're on BT Sport too- no doubt there'll be an injury too) Swansea- Draw Man Utd- Draw 6 points.
alpine_saint Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Reckon we could get 10 points. The only definite defeat I see is Everton.
Saint Rees Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Would've thought Everton would be a good game and winnable, but because it's on BT Sport we'll get thumped and a long term injury to at least one of our best players
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Christ, Alpine has a better outlook than me for the next few games. I agree that Everton is the only one I see a definite defeat (they are a good team). Rest could go either way, I'd probably say 6/7 points, possibly more, possibly less.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 8 April, 2014 Author Posted 8 April, 2014 Reckon we could get 10 points. The only definite defeat I see is Everton. I agree.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saints 1 Cardiff 0 Villa 0 Saints 0 Saints 0 Everton 2 Swansea 2 Saints 0 Southampton 1 Man Utd 3 Just cant see where the goals will come from with out Jay Rod. Be far too easy to defend against. Jay opens up defences with his pace which also benefits Lambert and Lallana.
Saint Lindford Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Southampton v Cardiff (3 points) Villa v Southampton (3 points) Southampton v Everton (0 points) Swansea v Southampton (3 points) Southampton v Man U (1 point)
Dr Who? Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saints 4 Cardiff 0 Villa 1 Saints 2 Saints 0 Everton 2 Swansea 1 Saints 1 Southampton 2 Man Utd 1 I really do think we are going to have a strong end to the season. 10 or possibly 12 points.
Dr Who? Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saying this, we could win all these games, but unlikely to happen, but defiantly possible.
Manuel Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Southampton 2-1 Cardiff (3 points) Villa 1-1 Southampton (1 point) Southampton 1-2 Everton (0 points) Swansea 1-1 Southampton(1 point) Southampton 1-2 Man U (0 point)
kwsaint Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Knowing saints we'll mess up against Cardiff and beat Man U yeah. we'll probably beat man u, draw to everton lose to villa and Cardiff and beat Swansea or something weird.
Chewy Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 5 wins IMHO. Cardiff are rubbish, villa woeful at home, Swansea bereft of form. The other two are trickier but winnable. Everton could be under a lot of pressure to secure champions league football when we play them. And I'm going for a win against Man U for no other reason than I can't stand them.
Goatboy Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Saints 2 Cardiff 1 Villa 2 Saints 2 Saints 0 Everton 2 Swansea 1 Saints 1 Saints 3 Man Utd 1 8 points.
DuncanRG Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 I can see United improving now the pressure's off. They've actually got the best away record in the league as well, which surprised me. As always we're capable of results in every game but here's how I think it'll go: Cardiff W Villa W Everton D Swansea D Utd L
BlakeySFC Posted 8 April, 2014 Posted 8 April, 2014 Southampton 3-1 Cardiff City (3 points) Aston Villa 1-3 Southampton (3 points) Southampton 2-3 Everton (0 points) Swansea City 0-2 Southampton (3 points) Southampton 2-1 Manchester United (3 points)
