bristolsaint29 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 They were right referee not fit to look after a game
Wrensup Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Why would we need to guess. We can watch the game too. Oh I dunno, it's more a phase you know? Just a saying?
Monk Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I cannot comprehend how the linesman hasn't given offside for their second goal. As for their third, Gazzaniga is ****ing useless.
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Co(k. Totally undeserved on the balance of play.
melmacian_saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 An expected defeat with scapegoating potential. SWF idiot dreamland.
Edmonton Saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Can someone link me to a video of Gazzaniga making a save in his Saints career? His shots to saves ratio is terrible. Everything on target seems to go in.
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Gazza a record is now 15 shots on target 11 goals Indefensible really.
badgerx16 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 J-Rod's injury has cost us double - he's out and Citeh score 2 in the added time. ( At least Mrs B is happy, she's a life long Sky Blue ).
robdevil7 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I really think we need to get Gallagher on in some quantity. We're too impotent in our attack.
pap Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Mwah. Hope we give a better account of ourselves in second half. Kaspar in the summer please, Katharina.
Leicestersaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Gazza haters will be in their element It is certainly not a question of hating him. That's ridiculous. He is simply not good enough at this level - we need a new goal keeper with Boruc as reserve.
nta786 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Lambert Equaliser Offside Second Goal Gazza Shocker Third Goal Lifecycle of a Saint. Lets try and get one goal to make the scoreline respectable at least.
Saint_Donovan Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 It clearly shows David Silvas position as the ball was flicked on
Saint86 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Their pen was a dive, second both players at two stages of the move are offside. Shocking from linesman on that one. Never mind lads, we will come out again second half, injury to jayrod guarantees effort from the players. And look at it this way, city beating us makes it more likely Liverpool don't win the league and pompey don't get their 1million On a side note, we are playing some great football, its a pleasure to watch us run rings around a team that costs this much. So we're loosing, as stated, referee is at fault for 2 goals, 3rd goal was their only legitimate attack and shot, and was a great peice of play.
badgerx16 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 That picture should be sent to to the Referees' management team
Minty Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Disappointing, but not surprising to see people so eager to criticise Gazzaniga for their third... that was a fantastic cross that Boruc would've struggled to get to. Doesn't seem to matter who the player is, once people have decided someone is not up to it, they look to blame them for anything they can.
NewYorkSaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 This is why the Premier League HAS to introduce some kind of video review when a goal is scored unfairly. Allow each side 2 challenges per game. It's crazy to allow an injustice like that offside goal with all the technology we have. Personally, incredibly proud of the team. Yeah Fonte was nervous and blew it. Yeah Boruc might have saved at least one of those. But the comeback from the team in the circumstances was sensational. They completely outplayed City for 40 minutes of the half. Lambert... what a half. JRod... heartbreaker. Whatever the result now, I'm proud to support an incredible team.
Leicestersaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I read this morning that English players have scored 35 of Saints goals (not 36) whereas 1 Englishman has scored for City all season! I know which team I would rather support.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 (edited) I think Luke may have been playing him onside. Either way, it was close. It was the touch on from dzeko not the ball from toure Luke played him on from toure the touch from Dzeko clearly found him offside Edited 5 April, 2014 by Saint Without a Halo
Edmonton Saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Ah interview with Ralph Krueger coming up on Canadian TV at halftime..
bristolsaint29 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Just getting my boots and gloves on. Im overweight, dodgy knee and short sighted. Got to better than what we have at present!
James Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Gazza not good enough. He's possibly the worst keeper in Saints history. Just dreadful. But we knew that. How he is employed as a professional is literally beyond me. I'd be just as good (I.e I'd let in every shot that hit the target). How bad must Cropper be?....Jesus the mind boggles...
MOSaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Got robbed for the second, heads dropped and we let them play it about afterwards and conceded again
corky morris Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Both penalties - no doubt. Fonte was stupid. Second is offside, confirmed on TV, 3rd is a mistake by Gazzaniga. Football is cruel. Jay Rod going off changes the game IMHO. Typical Saints!
S-Clarke Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Pretty ridiculous really, we've played very well and it just makes a mockery of the whole possession game. and also proves pretty emphatically that we cannot continue to have Gazzaniga as a backup in any shape or form. He's had nothing to do, yet hasn't made a save and has let the ball in 3 times. He's absolutely pathetic and I've had enough of him. He's not even a championship goal keeper.
Convict Colony Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I'm ****ed off for JRod, ****ed off cos of the score and ****ed off cos the wife forgot the beer from the shop.

igsey Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Just seen a replay, and I eat my words. Second goal was miles offside.
Monk Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Gazza not good enough. He's possibly the worst keeper in Saints history. Just dreadful. But we knew that. How he is employed as a professional is literally beyond me. I'd be just as good (I.e I'd let in every shot that hit the target). How bad must Cropper be?....Jesus the mind boggles... Clearly didn't see Tommy Forecast or Michael Stensgaard play.
mafiboy27 Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Chris Foy has to get relegated after this match.. Poor refereeing again. Time to wake up FA
Monk Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I'm ****ed off for JRod, ****ed off cos of the score and ****ed off cos the wife forgot the beer from the shop. my thoughts are with you mate.
skintsaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 We were doing well, 1-1 most of the ball, crowd getting restless and then one of the worst offside calls I can ever remember, it isnt ever ****ing close. Third goal was a great ball to be honest and hard on Gazza. Damage limitation now.

Worse than forecast........**** me he must be bad
melmacian_saint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 I love how only a few years ago penalties like the ones we've had in this match would be waved away as embarrassing for the striker. Today, defenders are idiots for trying to get the ball.
skintsaint Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 Chris Foy has to get relegated after this match.. Poor refereeing again. Time to wake up FA Surely the linesman call?
dubai_phil Posted 5 April, 2014 Posted 5 April, 2014 We've watched 49 minutes of football here & Southampton have been the better side for 45 of those. - Andy Gray

No ones blamed BT Sport yet we still haven't won on this channel ffs. Owen- what a ****, killing the channel. So lets blame them, as well as the linesman and Gazza. Edited 5 April, 2014 by nta786
