In the next couple of months, we have some games coming up that on paper you might think we stand a chance of winning. Forest on Saturday is a key one, a six-pointer if you will, and with Barnsley, Norwich, Doncaster and Swansea it seems we could end up with a fair few points by the end of the transfer window.

How many do YOU think we'll get?

The Forest and Plymouth games are must wins for me. If we lose them or fail to win 1 of them we have to bail on our tip tap football system. Reading will obviously be a hard game. Then we go into Doncaster and Norwich who again i think have to be must win games. They were the games we won in the 1st half of the season, if we don't win again then weve gone backwards.

Forest on Saturday has got 0-0 or 0-1 written all over it.

A Forest fan at work thinks Calderwood is awful, very defensive.

And given our not-so-potent attacking force, 10 men behind the ball isn't going to help.

We need a bright start and an early goal on Saturday, get the 3 points and tee ourselves up for a cracking Christmas.

Or, more likely....!!

I would settle now for 4 points out of our next 3 League games Forest Plymouth Reading

the forest game is key a absolute must to get 3 ponts a point at Plymouth can't see us getting anything from Reading but 4 ponts is the minimum requirement otherwise we are in the clag

couldn't agree more, the longer the game stays 0-0 the more defensive forest will get (assuming they do come down to play 10 behind the ball)

an early goal means they have to attack us to get anything out of the game and hopefully, a stretched defence lacking in confidence might be jsut what our strikers need to start scoring!

If that question was directed at me then the answer is obviously yes we should bother.

Fear not that question wasn't directed at you.

Will someone refund me one of my posts for clearing up this matter?

We need to get a home win, I really hope we can get the three points on Sat, I think it could be pivitol to our season.

If we can get a decent home win, especially with a decent crowd then we might be able to turn the corner at home. The worst thing this season has been the inability to follow a decent result with another win. If we could get back to back wins against Forest and Plymouth we would shoot up the table and restore a bit of confidence. Would still be happy with four points just as long as we beat Forest.

Important not to lose i suppose against those around us. Big games v Forest and Barnsley and Donny.

Lose to any of them in we're in the **** me thinks.

But we'll win. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm err...sure. Ish.

As runs go, that's pretty ordinary.

Optimistic W 3 D 2 L 2 Points 11

Pessimistic W 2 D 2 L 3 Points 8

If we can't beat Forest and Donny then we will be struggling as games won't get much easier.

How the meaning of "optimistic" has changed. This club has negative ambition which is reflected by the negative "ambition" of this site. "Win 3 of those 7 matches is optimistic".

Need to kick some arses round here.

In this league, this season, every game is a winnable one for us. Unfortunately, every game is a losable one for us too. And there in a nutshell is the story of our season. We'll lose or draw at home to a team we should be demolishing (Blackpool springs to mind, though there are plenty of others) and we'll win away when least expected (Reading being the most obvious example).

The problem is that we can't rely on unexpected, spectacular wins against the likes of Reading. We have to be winning our home games, all the more so against the other teams in the relegation mini-league. I just hope like hell that we can start that process against Forest on Saturday. I won't give a stuff if it's the crappiest 1-0 game ever, just as long as we get the points. And if a win against Forest - however it's achieved - exorcises that demon of home form, then I'll be ecstatic.

In spite of what I've written above, I'm optimistic - or at the very least hopeful. But that's down to my nature rather than anything else.

I have absolutely no faith in this team winning any match on that list. Many others feel that way and THAT'S why so many fans are staying away - I would hazard a guess that its a large majority actually. I don't stay away before anyone suggests it - I have an ST - but I don't enjoy games any longer because I've lost hope that my team will win.

There are no winnable games left all season. We've done them all once, they all know how crap we play and they'll slaughter us next time around. We are up s***e creek good and proper.

We're all DOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEEDDDDDD!!!!

Just so long as Jan doesn't predict that we'll win at least 6 of our next 10 we'll be okay :p

Maybe the players (well the ones that aren't sold/given away ) can all make their New Year's Resolution to actually win some home games ;)
