Gotta love some of the comments on that page - makes it sound like a major earthquake or something given just how 'shocked' and 'scared' people were. And my favourite 'this sort of thing doesn't happen in Southampton!'...

It's a building fire. No, it's not good, but they HAVE happened before and probably will happen again in the future. Get a grip. lol.

could have been me. I've been to Southampton, AND been in buildings before

I think you can consider that a close shave. Give the family an extra big hug tonight. Life's too short, etc.

OMG I could see the smoke from here ... if I'd gone outside... and looked in that direction.

Such a close shave has made me reassess my life.

There, but for the grace of god etc etc ....

I work just round the corner from there, and I was a bit disappointed to see that it wasn't my office that was on fire when I went to work that morning :(

Terrible attitude.

Even you might get laid here. They're that down to earth.

Ha, ha papage! Quality! Although a decent insight as to the real reason you and Bazza moved there......

Was there yesterday, just another thing to do when the World watches, that student fire is the biggest thing in Southampton since 2007 when the Grumbleweeds came to town.............................

Like Coleen Rooney and her mates…………..

So you wouldn't? Come take the moral high ground but you wouldn't? Ok then Point Dexter, get a fat bird who thinks she is thin and all that down East Street.
