Stevie61163 Posted 14 April, 2014 Share Posted 14 April, 2014 online booking system let me have 1 ticket but when i rang the TO they said i was not elegible yet. I checked on the system becuase i was not sure i was eleigible because i had only got 3 extra games although i did have 2 tickets for Villa. the seat i wanted is not displayed on the stadium seating plan so i rang the TO to get a specific seat. only to be told that i did not have enough games to qualify. while on the phone to the TO i actually booked online the nearest seat to my ST. The operator could not belive it. i did explain that as far as i was concerned theoriginal remit was that you had to have bought 4 home tickets but itdid not specify that these had tp be different games. oh well never mind i am booked now. VectisSaint Posted 14 April, 2014 Share Posted 14 April, 2014 Just got through online too. Purchased a ticket using my ST customer number, so that answers the question about whether ST holders with enough qualifying additional purchases can get extra tickets...So what did you do when it said Restrictions Apply? Huffton Posted 14 April, 2014 Share Posted 14 April, 2014 Got through the online queue to find that I could only buy one for me and not my son (as expected), then phoned up and they were happy for me to get 2 tickets on the 1 customer number as they could see from the booking system history that I'd always bought our tickets together on the same customer number. Good to see some discretion being used Ticket office applying common sense? Can't believe that...
StDunko Posted 14 April, 2014 Share Posted 14 April, 2014 So what did you do when it said Restrictions Apply? Where did it say that?, I just went ahead and booked, it gave me the option of buying a single ticket against my ST/Customer number, but there was no option of tickets next to any of the friends and family numbers that I'm linked to. Only says that if you do not meet the required criteria eg bought tickets for 4 games for each customer number I have 7 customer numbers linked via friends and family online Of these I was allowed to buy tickets via 3 customer numbers for the other four the message restrictions apply came up

I have bought tickets under my ST/Customer number for all the home cup ties and I have also bought some additional tickets under my customer number for friends (who rarely come to games, so don't have their own customer numbers) for games such as Fulham home league game. Therefore my ST/customer number qualifies for Man U tickets. Obviously this system means that I can purchase tickets for a "mate" of my choice, who may or may not have any purchase history, ahead of others that do have a purchase history. I just see this as a reward for how much money I spunk on SFC each year. I can see how some people would prefer an alternative system, that does not allow ST holders to purchase a second ticket, before regularly attending non ST holders get a chance to buy a 1st. Steeleye Saint Posted 14 April, 2014 Share Posted 14 April, 2014 Am I alone in having been charged a whopping £2.50 booking fee per ticket? Can't believe no-one has mentioned it.
