Jumped Or Pushed

Equally the blind faith some had in him, the refusal to critise anything he did, the passionate defence some would be at lengths to put up for him when anyone dared to, in some cases not even critise, but dare to suggest he was not all some believed he was, can also be desribed as just plain wierd?

Morning darling, how did I know you might pop up so quickly after i post... seriously good response time that. I would suggest its less about a refusal to criticise, and more a recognition that there is no value in being critical of something we dont see as that important.... pointless even, when the things that Do matter were progressing well. Its not surprizing really is it that that those who criticise, did so from day one and were gleefully looking for every tiny mistake to jump on.... and you wonder why some find that strange, weird or agenda driven ... or WUMing? Seriously? You seem to think that those who had no issue with him were somehow blind to his imperfections or too naive to see it - that is your arrogance and your failing in all this - his failings were as clear as mud, his mistakes clear to see... just not that big enough a deal to make such a fuss over as you and the precious few seem to have done.... are you all really that sensitive to the 'big bad man does' when it comes to the club? A tad amusing if so...

What you continually fail to understand is and i cant speak for anyone else, is that some of us didn't have an agenda we simply critised when nessasary and praised where possible. That's a fantastic memory you have by the way there Francis, being able to remember what people were posting almost five years ago, or did you make that bit up as part of your "agenda"?

Simply you cannot fault what's happened on the field, it couldn't really have gone much better, other than actually winning L1 and the championship. SOme of us warned about loans, the spiralling cost of the training ground, the poor commerial activities, the high turnover of staff and we've been proven right as that lead to Corteses downfall. There was always a reason or an excuse for it from some, not everyone bought it and fell for the PR Spin, including the owners. You may not care about them and think what happens on the pitch is all that matters, but some people clearly did and that's why your hero isn't here anymore.

This basically. Odd that Francis thinks there was desperate criticism from day one when that is not my recollection at all. At the first fans forum he was actually clapped in and out of the building. I also agree that it pretty much could not have done better off the pitch (other than maybe some poor recent transfers). Obviously everyone who thinks this way has an agenda though.

Very true and very fair - just that for some of us the negatives mentioned were far outwieghed by the on the pitch progress. For some of us we don't expect or need our Chairman to be perfect, but focus on those things that lead to the best possible on the field progress...

Being disspointred in NC for whatever reeason is fair, he made mistakes and was NOT perfect afterall. But the 'perspective' called for IMHO is that the amout of bitter vitriol spouted by a few on here is disproportionate to his 'mistakes' - especially when placed in context of what has been achieved in the last 5 years... therefore the logical/rational conclusion given that teh smae few keep spouting the smae mantra at every opprortunity is that its either WUMing or just plain wierd....

No one is arguing anything about the on field success, which has been staggering. However, plenty had mentioned, through the years of NCs reign, the discontent and issues surrounding the off field issues and TBF to them, they've been vindicated by recent events.

We have an awful lot to thank NC for but that doesn't gloss over some of the things that he got very, very wrong.

Never thought that a Swiss banker would be better at on the football side than the commercial/money side!
