City Away Build Up Thread

Paulo Gazzaniga in goal doesn't fill me with much confidence, but maybe this is his moment to shine? Seeing how free scoring city are at home it could be a rugby score if he does not play at his best . Still, It would be nice to at least come away with our positive goal difference intact.

Gazza in goal therefore we have lost. Only chance we have is if they don't have a shot on target. One of the things I am most looking forward to about the close season is replacing the worst keeper in the league as our no.2. Serious question, would Morgan in goal actually be worse? I don't think so.

Morgan's Mum probably wouldn't be worse, his Dad certainly wouldn't, don't know about Morgan himself.

With Navas likely to show up the defensive weaknesses of our full backs Gazza will have some crosses to cut out. Shaw needs to be on top form today, if Navas takes him apart then his value will fall and his WC place will evaporate into thin air.

He's also crap at this level.

I think 'crap' is a bit harsh. He's not as good as Boruc, clearly, but he's a damn sight better than Gazzaniga is at this stage of their respective careers, and probably about as good as a mid-table PL club can expect to have as a no2 keeper.

Well, thats our hard-worked-for GD f**ked today.

Anyone heard whats wrong with Boruc ? Sounds like our quest to secure 8th and try to get 7th is over.

Decision not to get a second GK summer biting us on the bum hard.

Has the game already been played?! I gather from your post that we didn't do too well :(

Go Gazza . Show the moaners how good you are today .

This must be a new low moaning about players before the game kicks off . We have our two main keepers injured what else can we do .

Come on saints . I will be happy with a draw . It will be a hard match bit we can stifle citeh

Gazza to stop a penalty, make world class saves and Guly to come on in the 90th minute and score the winner. How I hope this will happen.

If I remember rightly in Gazza,s last game for us, he made some very good saves. Come on kid, you can do that again today!

De Gea was **** for 1 whole season with Man U, where as Gazza has only really played twice in spells for us. 1st under Nigel where teams were having more shots than a bukkake conference and over Xmas this season when our central defence and midfield were dealing with injuries etc.

If he f*cks up thats life but we have the players we have no point in moaning about of what we could of or should of had, we should look at it as a learning opportunity, we are fortunate enough for these games to be only about pride, if he doesn't perform he will be out the door in the summer i would expect and Cropper given a chance as 3rd but lets just hope we are wrong and he performs.

Yep, the guy couldn't wait to have a go. "Shaw, WILL go, Chambers, WILL go...".

Yes Steve, you scouse pr*ck, everyone will be leaving.

I know!! I mean we know they could well leave, but its the passion behind it that he's adamant they'd all leave it what annoyed me.

And then playing down the fact that Lallana is two footed "They're professional footballers, they should be two footed its not that big a deal" - maybe they should be, but most of them AREN'T.

Anyone know what his problem is?

The game where they only had 2 shots on target and scored one, yep.

Oh well, sorry for my brief outbreak of trying to have a fair and 'balanced view' of him.

Yes I agree, he won't make a goalkeeper as long as he has a hole in his arse.

Sorry. I'm trying to be optimistic, believe me I am, but I just can't find it at the moment. I will love to be proved wrong.

Oh, come on FFS. Get serious.

Is building a whole argument against our transfer strategy on a gloomy prematch predicition really that serious? I'd say we could both clean up our act and get ready for the game and leave all the sweeping statements for the post match analysis. And that's what I'm going to do. Enjoy the game! :)

Danish TV just did a feature on LRL - Lambert/Rodriguez/Lallana - as part of the build-up. Wow - goosebumps :D They heaped praise on our team and even pointed towards Shaw, Chambers, Clyne, Ward-Prowse and Cork in relation to Three Lions...

No, don't apologise, I'm exactly the same.

I intend taking the dog out for a walk shortly, and then learning the result when I get back in. No result will surprise me, but it will spare a couple of hours of F5's, semi-naked nuns, and 'woots' !!!

That was his last game before Boruc came back wasn't it? Hopefully he took the confidence from that, worked hard and improved over the last few months.

His last game before KELVIN DAVIS came back... K Davis then played against Everton and Chelsea.

No doubt any goal we concede, it will be Gazzaniga's fault. He will be the scapegoat today.

Leave the nuns out of it.

I think people overestimate how desperate we are to sell our good players. Namely our academy ones.

We've only done it out of need before, and once because it was ridiculous money for a L1 player.

I honestly do not see Lallana moving away. I think he is one of the most likely of our recent academy players to become a one-club man. Then again who knows...

Who says Man City get all the decisions go their way? I'm not having it, there is just a different interpretation of the offside rule there, i. e. If you're wearing blue you can't be offside.
