any news on how many tickets we've sold?

Be surprised if we break 1500.

Hopefully they'll all be quality and create a great atmosphere. (is that possible with a stoopid o clock ko time though?)

Can't see it being many with the sh1t kick off time, the cost, and the fact we've not a lot to play for.

It's a free hit for us though. I'm sure we'll go up there to have a go, control possession and try and force a result. Poch hasn't lost to Man City yet...1 win and 1 draw...! Let's hope that's 2 wins come 3pm sat! COYS

Is the presser today?

Just run around a lot with your clan and make like you're a crowd.

I know we know this, but I still like seeing it on the BBC site:

The only English player to have scored more Premier League goals than Jay Rodriguez (15) this season is Daniel Sturridge (20).

Only Luis Suarez (11) has more goal assists than Rickie Lambert (10) in the Premier League this season.

WS :D

Whilst the above is no doubt correct Rooney has scored as many as JRod and has as many assists as Rickie, still as he's a knob he doesn't count.

.........can't you just hear Pellegrini preparing his after match interviews :mcinnes: ....(after we beat MC) ....

well .....we did have Aguero out and NN was suspended...and we were unlucky with the penalty ....and their third goal certainly looked like it was off-side from my seat on the bench....

.....and don't let's forget those classic " bad day at the office " excuses. When is someone going to honestly stand up and say that when we win against good teams..it's because we were better.

Yeah,Yeah Manuel...we've heard it before....from worse managers than you and especially in those clubs that don't have the £400 million squad that you have to choose from.

Every Saints fan knows that on the day ..we're a match for anyone. Let's hope tomorrow we'll get the result we want and put all those lame excuses to bed and get real recognition.

I think the team pretty much picks itself this week....

Boruc

Chambers - Fonte - Lovren - Shaw

Cork - Schneiderlin

Lallana - Davis - Rodriguez

Lambert

Subs: Gazza, Clyne (if fit enough for bench), Hooiveld, Wanyama, JWP, Ramirez, Gallagher

Although Clyne is back in training, Pochettino ruled him out of the game. I'd guess that will see Guly on the bench instead.

Doesn't leave us with much natural defensive cover on the bench although Cork can drop back if needs be I suppose.

What the hell are you on about? We haven't played yet...and we certainly haven't won.

Big Vic is rarely impressive on his first game back, he seems to need to get up-to-speed for a bit first.

I'd play a similar team to last week but with Cork and Morgan in the middle.

Wanyama's rarely impressive period, he's just a lump, his actual ability at kicking a football is appalling. Cork's miles better.

Anyone know which pubs to drink in before the game tomorrow

The northern saints are heading for the bulls head right outside Piccadilly train station. Easy for the metrolink or taxi or you could walk but it's half hour.

Not much in way of pubs near the ground. Well none you'd really want to go in.

As much as I'd like Saints to pull it off and get at least a Point

I can see it be something like 3-1/3-2 City as hopefully we can

push them all the way so we'l see what happens as anything

can happen in Football and especially with Saints as well.....!!!

I'd go for the same team that Spanked Newcastle last Sat but

maybe start Morgan in replace of JWP even though I also thought

he had a Great game v Newcastle so we'l see what team MP goes

for come 11:30AM-12PM!

Fair play for those going to the game and will be in the Pub watching

it too! ;)

COYR!!! :D

Wanyama is truly shocking on the ball. Without the ball he must be pretty scary to the opposition given his size and inability to time a tackle. More of a night club bouncer than a footballer. I guess it's a question of what you think constitutes a good footballer, but in my book the ability to find space, receive a ball and pass a ball are pretty high up the list.......especially in the current Saints team. Square peg in a round hole.
