Fantastic win and brilliant display! Only concern is that it seems to take us about ten chances to convert one – if only we can address this, then top 4 is not that much of a fantasy!

Their man of the match was their goal keeper, by miles.

Speaks volumes, no?

Was only joking- although I can imagine there are some on here who think we have let ourselves down today by not scoring more. Awesome performance.

Fantastic performance, although if you were being a bit picky, Jay Rod should have scored 5 or 6 .

Ray Houghton is a bit of a knob to keep going on about Ads not lasting 90 minutes. What is the point in leaving him on to get kicked about when the game is already won ?

Both fullbacks were excellent, and I thought JWP is starting to look more comfortable in the middle, A handy 4th choice if Vic and Morgan get injured.

Actually? It was sort of meaningless....A truly poor team being outplayed by talented youngsters having fun in a season that has mostly ended for both teams..........I enjoyed it immensely though.

Fair play. I can understand their frustration but imho Elliot had a great game for them and pulled off a couple of top saves.

On another day I think we would have scored 7+ !

Incredible team performance. Luke and Callum both superb. The one touch play between Davis, Lallana, JRod, Cork, JWP... so beautiful to watch. Rickie imperious. Lovren and Fonte rock solid. Gaston, nice cameo. My man of match Lallana again. He must start for England. Must. Must. Must.

Having seen the United game earlier, you have to say we're a better team. They're 6 points ahead. There has to be a real scenario now where a win against them in the last game of the season takes us above them to Saints highest ever premier league position. We just need to catch up 4 of those points before then...

Some words from Mauricio Pochettino in the tunnel...

“I think it was definitely one of our best. We want to congratulate the fans. We want to give them that victory.”

“I was very happy, we were playing very well. At the same time I was very angry, we were wasting chances.”

“Even before the game (I was enjoying it) in the dressing room there was a very good atmosphere and good energy."

“When the whole team plays well, as it did today, the collective has a power that is irresistible.”

“I am very happy overall because it was very deserved by the players and the supporters.”

"It was just an amazing performance.”

Would love to see the Newcastle equivalent of this site today. Their defending was just comical. And it wasn't just a case of bad individual errors, the entire defensive unit was just very badly organised and left us gaps to exploit left, right and centre (literally:))

After today's performance I would be very upset if we didn't now finish above them.

MOTM - tough one to call, but I have to give it to J-Rod for his two goals and his persistent running. Newcastle just couldn't handle him.

That's why we need him to stay

Some pretty poor challenges from Newcastle in the 2nd half. It'll be hard for Woy to leave any of our lads at home if they keep this up for the rest of the season.

Some of our one touch passing was simply amazing. Rodriguez and Lallana are def going to Brazil this summer, and mr Krueger, please get MP to sign a new long term contract.

City will be tough next week, but play like this and who know.
