Long story, but about 6 months before we signed the aap deal, there were a number of senior people at the club (Names I hadn't even heard of) that were connected to a number of AB INbev guys though linkedin. and the main one that they were all connected to had a bizarre business title which was something along the lines of "Director of strategic sponsorships".

So definitely not ITK, but at a guess, they were talking about something.

Oh....and their three main brands colours (Stella, Bud & Becks)

Red and White :) :) :) :)

Stella Artois yes yes yessity yes

Personally, I reckon that's probably to do with taking over as our 'official beer partner' (or whatever they call it) from Molson/Coors than AB INbev wanting shirt sponsorship, just can't see that happening at all.

Yeah, Barcelona's class....

Like being sponsored by that Qatar Foundation bunch in exchange for Spain's world cup vote :lol:

Classy :mcinnes:

That club are one of the biggest set of cheaters there are... Neymar also

Or shall we digress into their dodgy goverment land dealings, both them and Real Madrid stink on that front.

whatever smart arse, so you don't think donating to a charity is a worthwhile idea?

Sorry everyone, but I've been around advertising and sponsorship to know there's only one thing that matters - revenue. Luxury brands have no more money than volume brands, football doesn't cater to luxury anyway, aspirational maybe at a push but not luxury.

I'd suggest Cunard/ P&O/ Princess are a no as Carnival's CEO is a big Pompey fan. Club sponsorship is vanity, despite Sponsorship sales teams desperately using buzz feeds and reach numbers they've got from god knows where, it's impossible to quantify!

It's all about the money! Although I am surprised that before now we haven't used the family connections and tapped into Liebherr consumer goods (fridges etc)?

Apple. Then we can launch a new model of the shirt (at midnight) every 9 months

Would you have to queue up like a ****** and then once you brought it be applauded out of The Saints shop by staff and you run out screaming "whoah" as you left.

Finally post up on youtube yourself trying it on over a sweatshirt ?
