So the Troll from the Tirol crys fail everytime anyone dares to question his predicatble bedwetting rants after every defeat...... YET has a dig for someone having a different view to Ramirez! :mcinnes:

Did i have a dig ? I thought I just inferred I found his opinion hillarious.

And I dont "cry fail" about anyone questioning my posts - just the inveitable personal abuse that goes with it, which you have admirably illustrated again.

Btw, I am not from Tirol. I am from Southampton but live in one of the other counties of Austria. Fail again.

I could describe you as "W++ker from Warsash", but I wont.

What's the weather like there? Gloomy?

I prefer a CEO that is quiet. Better than an egomaniac who loves being on telly or in the papers.

This. Let's hope our new man spends less time cosying up to his chums from Sky Sports and the Daily Mail and more time securing commercial sponsorships that are a wee bit less pitiful than the previous suit saddled us with.

When WBA have a shirt sponsorship deal worth of 5 times ours, something is seriously lacking.

If Juve pick up the option, and we dont have to find another club. Looking at his track-record so far, I find that unlikely.

Your comment about Gashy is just funny.

No he's right. Good player, if lallana & jay rod hadn't been in such good form he would be player. Looked effective every time I've seen him this season - before & after injury.

Being kept out of side doesn't make him a waster any more than Cork being third choice.

I think he would fetch decent price but prefer to keep him.

Also greate to watch, have you ever seen him play?

CB, could you let those of us ignorant of what went wrong, facts kind know, so that we don't blindly follow.... After I understand that our deal was done in the championship v WBAs prem deal, but we had an opportunity to have a new sponsor if they were prepared to buy out aap3s contract... Heard we were close, but could not get a final deal deal signed by deadline, as is quite common in business... So why did this occur... Please provide details and sources as it's an important point.

So to summarise. There was an opportunity to buy out AAP and bring in someone at PL payment rates - at least five times the money - but it was mishandled and not completed. Thanks for that.

Too add to buctotims post seeing as how we were 'shooting for the moon' and aiming for the premier league then the champions league when the deal was agreed, don't you think a CEO with the vision and drive you've often attributed to our glorious ex leader might have negotiated a couple of clauses in the deal whereby the value of it goes up not if but when we achieve our stated aims?

My favourite bit was when it was let known that global giants Mercedes were going to be sponsoring us. Turned out to be the local dealer giving a minibus

You only have to look at our sponsorship deal to actually see where we are compared to the others we are supposed to overtake for Champions League glory, its as funny as it is sad and delusional.

Not great according to this.

Not 5 times less than West Brom's though is it ?

Five times less than Fulham, Aston Villa and Sunderland. One third of West Ham and Stoke. Not sure why anybody is arguing against this - its been obvious for ages we've under performed on the commercial side - both hospitality and sponsorship - and now the new Chairman has confirmed it is his most urgent priority.

I'm not arguing, just thought I saw a reference to West Brom's shirt sponsorship bringing in 5 times the amount of ours. It's certainly an area we can do far,far better in.

Are there rumours on sponsorship?

Outside the top clubs, Saints are the most talked about right now, increasingly famous faces, International exposure and top players. Surely that's a big draw for sponsors.

I'd prob hold off negotiations till after Rickie scores winning goal in world cup final from Lallana cross.

You writing surely on the internet does not make it fact, more like hopeful speculation, lets just see shall we? Surely thats the wisest way to proceed?

To whom though? Please tell me where you think we shall be on the scale? Next to Arsenal or more like West Ham?

You are the one being sarcastic about how 'big' we see ourselves as a club and how potential sponsors perceive our value.

We are where we are and should aim to approve in ALL areas.

Sponsorship? That's up to the new board. I am sure they will push for a good deal following a good season.

You appear to take delight in our poor sponsorship deal. Why is that?

I take huge delight not in our size but at the cherubs on here who believe we are worth (size, value) more than we are, something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it?

Obvious right?

So, regardless of where we are on the scale, we are worth much more now then when we signed the last shirt deal yes?

One would imgaine yes, what is your opinion on it?

I'm actually fairly interested to see how this one plays out.

With RK stating the significance of improving our corporate revenue I think this could be a good indicator of how well the new board is working.

What should we be aiming for? £8m/year? What do I think we'll get? £5m max.

Thats sponsorship brand, what about the kit sponsorship? Thats where the money is and also a true reflection of where we are.

£5m seems achievable, maybe more linked to over performance. Depends to some extent how much we give away - eg just a shirt sponsor or throw in stadium naming, free boxes etc
