KelvinsRightGlove Posted 24 March, 2014 Share Posted 24 March, 2014 Can't not agree with the sentiments expressed so far. He does seem pretty happy here, and doesn't seem to be angling for a move. I'd be more surprised by his leaving than anyone else, though I can't really say the guy owes us much. He's good enough to be at a CL/title challenging side. Whilst it would hurt to see him leave, I would not begrudge him it. I really hope there is substance in this, without wanting to get carried away. Also hoping the "I'm focusing on being the next Le Tiss" (or words to that effect) comments are true. Would love him to be a one club man. Would also be a good statement of intent from the new management team.
jasonb Posted 25 March, 2014 Share Posted 25 March, 2014 I think Adam will stay with Saints throughout his entire career. At the end of the day these fantastic performances, international recognition and heaps of tabloid speculation also help to strengthen his case for a massively improved contract at Saints... Cha Ching! boys and girls.
buctootim Posted 25 March, 2014 Share Posted 25 March, 2014 Why would you sign a new contract now if your current one runs till 2018 and why would anyone worry now whether it was true or not? Its four years away ffs.

Its four years away ffs. And the maximum contract length is 5 years, could be just another year and more money I guess. Trouble with Lallana is whatever we may sell him for we absolutely have to give Bournemouth 25%, so if we did sell him for say 24 million (easy math for me) we'd have to give them 6 million. Wonder if we've ever tried to renogociate that with them, say a 3 million £ hand out now for all future sell-on rights.

Its four years away ffs. As MLG says, to reflect his current value. He is now regarded by some as England's most technically capable player, his value will have gone up significantly in the last 6 months and it's as much insurance for the club to have him on a greater contract as it would reflect in greater transfer value should the worst happen. Just be thankful for the attention you get, leaves most of us so very jealous... As to what I mean, well, maybe work on your delivery as most folk with a medium sized brain recognise an element of joy in your tone when providing us with the latest negative piece of 'negative' media related information.... Given that on examination and on history, at least 90% of the gossip both good and bad spouted in the media turns out to be total rubbish... Or at best never happens as things change... Maybe most are just a little bit interested as to why you sound so happy when you are able to provide us with a link... Or why some May question the source, it's accuracy, or indeed your motivation. I hope that helps as the last thing we want is you feeling victimised... That would indeed be bad forum form

Saint86 Posted 25 March, 2014 Share Posted 25 March, 2014 Hattrick. 3 threads I've read in 5 minutes where you win the most predictable and retarded post. If you're still believing the above you're blind or stupid. There's no middle ground on that one. Huge coincidence, but your post is the exact defence of every troll on every topic on every forum out there. Adrian wind it in bud, you spend 50% of your posts it seems getting sucked in by these guys.. just stick them on ignore and leave it be. Life is a lot more stress free on here! I expect Lallana to stay with saints his entire career. He is nearly 26, and is playing regular top flight football for a club he loves, not only that but he is our star man and attracting lots of praise. He has had options to leave in league 1 and the championship and didn't take them... now he is captain, and not only going to brazil but is a growing favourite for a starting line up... He can swap all this for a likely squad position at a "bigger club" and earn fractionally more than I dare say we will pay him to stay. The final nail in the coffin... know one will pay what we value him at.... certainly not at 25/26.... So he isn't going to leave! I Think!
