Seeing as this thread is now semi famous I just want to say that anyone who took the time to write to the BBC about this is a huge mong. How utterly utterly pathetic.

Welcome back to terra firma. You went missing on the missing plane thread of all places, you spineless weasel.

It's like when aliens land on Earth, find they are in Pompey and then **** off home.

500k of Schmeichel's will land here and assume this is the best we have to offer!

He got the sack last time round because as the papers put it the beeb was "fed up with his long rambling sentences which often did not make sense".

Safe to say, he'll fit in just fine here.

Is this seriously a legitimate concern for some of you? Jesus Christ. The guy's voicing his opinion, and I don't think he said anything that the press haven't already said..

Why are you smooching up to Schmeichel, S Michael?

This is clearly a move by the club spoofing a complaint to avoid receiving the spurious complaint of the year award for the Lallana / Clattenberg debacle.

That was bad enough. This is even more pathetic, but, unfortunately, is not the first time Insulted from Southampton has taken to complaining about media items of no consequence. I think we should get a sponsorship deal with Kleenex so all the powder puff fans can have a good cry into sponsored tissues when they don't like what Lawro/Schmeichel/Savage says about the club or the players. It would also have the benefit of helping out those who talk shyte as they can clean up after themselves too.

I would have thought it better to make a complaint of the general poor standard of punditry rather than one specific event which gets trotted out many times with different players and teams. But maybe they don't do analysis or perhaps are told to keep it 'light' for the majority of viewers (who will be supports of the big clubs).

Thread title: "Complaint against Peter Schmeichel's on MOTD2"

What is ol' Peter possessed of that we are to complain about, exactly? Jesus wept, upon the day that a Saints fan's 'special' behaviour was beheld by the populace of the internet...

If anyone has seen MOTD2 last night I have made a complaint against the bias comments made by Peter Schmeichel. My complaint relates to him acting as an Agent for Mid-Table United and telling people that Adam should join United. My complaint (Case number CAS-2628776-6YYSGG‏) :- If anyone else would also like to complain go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/complain-online/ . I also hope the Club also complain about these comments perhaps this will be the first real test for Ralph over Nicola (who imo who have taken action over them).

Dear God you actually wrote that complete with the mid-table united? Seriously it's a TV football show with some old pro's expressing opinions not the Harry Redknap schoold of tapping up! Everyone knows that the best player eventually migrate to the biggest clubbs and Man Utd are still one of the biggest names in the game so PS was hardly saying anything surprising, if you so worried about bias surely you have to write in every week than Hansen and Lawrenson dribble all over Liverpool or does it only bother you when a saints player gets linked to a bigger team?

Get a grip

I thought PS showed how little he knew when suggesting AL should go to Utd. They've got Mata to do the job he would do. If they need anyone from us it's Lovren, Shaw or Schneiderlin.

Basically all of thse "top clubs" need 2 good players for every position, that's the model they work on. As MU won't be in the CL next season perhaps their requirements wll be slightly less. Anyway football pundits with a penchant for some club or other are like kids in candy shops, they want everything whether they have any possibility of eating it all or not.

we should merge squads with them cos where they're weak (centre mid, full backs) we're strong + where we're weak (goalkeeper, strikers) they're strong.

Souchester Utd would win league yo

Dear Mr Hale

Reference CAS-2630461-V5X161

Thanks for contacting us regarding BBC One's ‘Match of the Day 2’ on 23 March.

I understand you were unhappy with Peter Schmeichel’s comments about Southampton’s Adam Lallana.

Peter Schmeichel, as pundits are expected to do, was giving his personal thoughts on Adam Lallana. As he was full of praise for the Southampton player, this lead on to discussion of him moving to another club and Peter, perhaps not unsurprisingly given his history, used Man Utd as an example; however, he also noted that a lot of clubs would be looking at the player and spoke about him being in the England setup.

Nevertheless, please know we’ve registered your comments on our audience log for the benefit of programme makers and senior management within the BBC. The audience logs are important documents that can help shape future decisions and they ensure that your points, and all other comments we receive, are made available to BBC staff across the Corporation.

Thanks again for contacting us.

Kind Regards

Stuart Webb
