Rasiak-9- Posted 23 March, 2014 Share Posted 23 March, 2014 If you're going to criticise the manager, it is necessarily true that you believe the team is underachieving and that another manager would have achieved a better set of results/higher points tally. As such, here's an idea, if you're going to criticise the manager you have to name teams that we should be above in the league, whilst also naming the points total we ought to have. Now, obviously you're allowed not to do this, but failure to do so, for the reason I've just described, takes a great deal away from the credibility of your post. We do have a major problem with mental strength and holding on to leads, but overall its been a solid season. (Doubtless there'll still be a few idiots who think that I'm somehow contradicting myself by being disappointed with the loss yet viewing it in perspective with the way the season has gone overall! Lallana's Left Peg Posted 23 March, 2014 Share Posted 23 March, 2014 It's perfectly valid to be delighted with a Manager and still find things to criticise them for which impact individual games. For example, I'm delighted with Pochettino but unless Jay-Rod was injured that sub today was absolutely awful and compounded an issue we already had on the pitch. I won't hold it against him and it won't impact his fantastic work this season but when we look at the game we just bottled I feel quite happy to point out the issues which caused it. When we can't point out the issues and get beat, that's when we've really got problems.

Lovren looked injured as well, played on though, might have done as well to go off, not sure that Mauricio really rates Maya and certainly not on the left which was already exposed by the wimpish performance of JWP. Actually the new rule for Saintweb is that you may start a new thread every time you don't like the answers you get on the previous thread you started or contributed. The MODS will support this new rule completely...
