verlaine1979 Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Our midfield is just a bit too indecisive. Same story all season, not quite got the balance between retaining possession at all costs, and moving the ball forward. And on a day like today when we seem physically outmatched, the hesitation results in losing cheap possession too close to our own goal. Conservatism isn't always the most secure approach.
Edmonton Saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 We haven't been in the game at all 2nd Half. Frustrating. The game was there for the taking, but some extremely poor defending by Clyne, gave them hope, when previously there was none.
DT Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 This is where we need a manager going a bit ballistic on the touch line
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 This is where we need a manager going a bit ballistic on the touch line Yeah, cause jumping around, waving your hands and shouting ''GET INTO THEM'' ''HIT IT'' is going to help alot. Agreed.
Katalinic Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 This is where we need a manager going a bit ballistic on the touch line Why, is it the 1980's?
warsash saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 For all our pretty play, we're still as gutless and chinless as ever. We will lose this now If you keep your fingers crossed!
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Not one of our players has had a good game this half. Not much you can do when that happens. Zilch to change it.
DT Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Yeah, cause jumping around, waving your hands and shouting ''GET INTO THEM'' ''HIT IT'' is going to help alot. Agreed. You're right. Sips from mineral water bottles are far more motivational
John Boy Saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 I reckon we should make a bid for the abolition of Half time because we always seem to come out like we have one slice to many of Dundee cake with our cup of tea
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 I reckon we should make a bid for the abolition of Half time because we always seem to come out like we have one slice to many of Dundee cake with our cup of tea The game was killed by Clynes error, not HT.
Smirking_Saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 You're right. Sips from mineral water bottles are far more motivational Arguably more so then waving your arms and shouting yes.....
DG Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Time for the lucky cup of coffee, timed right we'll nick it in injury time.
DT Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Arguably more so then waving your arms and shouting yes..... Perhaps he could combine the two. Dream ticket
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Author Posted 23 March, 2014 Has any club dropped more points from winning positions???
jamesfp1 Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 This play like Barcelona for 20 mins or so and then implode lark is not good for my heart.
St.JonB Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Lambert reverting to shockingly bad So he's the reason we're not playing so well? Clueless ...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Has any club dropped more points from winning positions??? In the history of sports? No I don't think so, they should just abolish Southampton FC and be done with it, we are an embarrassment to humanity...
trousers Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Has any club dropped more points from winning positions??? Maybe start 7 threads over the next few weeks to help find out the answer
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Looks like the ref is getting wise to their 'Robust challenges'
alpine_saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Not one of our players has had a good game this half. Not much you can do when that happens. Zilch to change it. One of the classic limp-wristed responses. The same group of players who played well in the first half suddenly play cr*p. Here's a thought. Sherwood gave Spurs a rocket at half time, and changed the tactics. Our management cannot suss that the opposing losing team might change things about, and plods on regardless, and has not a clue how to change things when it goes tits-up.
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Why didn't we just take that chance! too many passes.
JoeShmoe Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Sometimes Lallana just needs to put his foot through it
trousers Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 How close do we need to get to the goal before having a shot there?
miserableoldgit Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 You're right! He has to go!! Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

Get rid of the management then isi? as they're so clueless.
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Get rid of the management then isi? as they're so clueless. Alpine for manager, assistant, chairman and captain. Then all will be fine.
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Mopo There screaming Vete a la mierda hasta allí y comenzar a conseguir detrás de ellos. Mantener la posesión y el trabajo que en el cuadro de. Because, of course, he don't speak english:lol:

Yep because we should win every game we play 4-0, even away at a top 5 team - anything else is an utter disgrace

I don't normally winge at you but what do you do, wait until you get a text saying it's 2-2 then decide to log on? So easy to destroy, so difficult to create. Again.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 March, 2014 Author Posted 23 March, 2014 A winner from Lallana.... I can smell it Lets bury this poor record vs the top 10 clubs TODAY COYR
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Just ned a little luck. Trying to get back into it, ref isn't allowing these robust challenges
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Getting the ball forward, Sammy coming on, keeping possion. Just a little luck in the last 5.
Wrensup Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 It makes you wonder what happens to a teams mentality that they play crap for most of the second half, only to go for it in the last 5.
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Also, we seem to be the only team getting injured, cheating bastards
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 Newcastle did it yesterday. Come on Saints, lets do it too
S-Clarke Posted 23 March, 2014 Posted 23 March, 2014 An absolute disaster of a result if we're honest. Season is well and truly done, dusted. gone.
