Ekelund24 Posted 21 March, 2014 Posted 21 March, 2014 Checking the train tickets yesterday if anyone is going in a group of four and is not bothered about getting a direct train, it works out a lot cheaper if you buy your tickets via Basingstoke and Banbury and can get them on the day. Groupsaver 4 Soton - Basingstoke Normal ticket Basingstoke - Banbury Groupsaver 4 Banbury - Witton For some reason if you split it via Basingstoke it is a lot cheaper, from Eastleigh the total return cost is £30.50 on the day and if you have a Network Card I think it works out to £25
Sour Mash Posted 21 March, 2014 Posted 21 March, 2014 Does anyone know if we've taken both tiers for this?
Appy Posted 22 March, 2014 Posted 22 March, 2014 Does anyone know if we've taken both tiers for this? Not much chance of finding out, for a while anyway.
Dan Posted 22 March, 2014 Posted 22 March, 2014 Not much chance of finding out, for a while anyway. The online system suggests we have both tiers. stevegrant Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Looks to just be the upper tier on sale now? Possibly been told to sell upper tier before lower.
LGTL Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Just went online to get 5 tickets, sod that I'm not sitting in the upper tier. Will ring them tomorrow.
Ziggy Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 The tickets seem a lot more expensive than last season unless my memory is bad. This season I got tickets for me and my lad for £40 at WBA while to go to Villa it will cost £70!
Berkshire Saint Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Yep, it either was £32 or £35 last season I think. Certainly not as much as £39 anyway. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
View From The Top Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Possibly been told to sell upper tier before lower. Stoke only had the upper tier in Sunday.
Dan Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Stoke only had the upper tier in Sunday. I thought that, but as they panned to away end after the game there seemed to be a handful scattered in the bottom tier.
alehouseboys Posted 24 March, 2014 Posted 24 March, 2014 Stoke only had the upper tier in Sunday. 40 miles straight down the M6 and free coaches for those that want it. Stoke's away support is poor numbers wise these days.

Sour Mash Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 Just went online to get 5 tickets, sod that I'm not sitting in the upper tier. Will ring them tomorrow. Did you speak to the ticket office? What did they say on it?
LGTL Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 Yes I did, Villa have requested we well the upper tier first, approx 1300 tickets. Lower will only be made available if all those are sold. I'm just going to wait.

Appy Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 Was the upper tier sat down last year? Was in the lower and it was stood.
Dan Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 Was the upper tier sat down last year? Was in the lower and it was stood. First 5 rows of the upper tier were made to sit down, the rest were left to stand though.
JRM Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 If 1300 is all the upper tier holds you should imagine that will sell out fairly quickly, although that will be impacted by the selling periods and people holding back to get the lower tier preference. i was going to get tickets today buy will wait until Friday and see if the lower tier is on sale then.
View From The Top Posted 26 March, 2014 Posted 26 March, 2014 First 5 rows of the upper tier were made to sit down, the rest were left to stand though. Thought it worked well. People who wanted to sit just swapped places.
svetigpung Posted 2 April, 2014 Posted 2 April, 2014 This is easter weekend so i guess we should sell out. Shame it was Villa as i was over for this last season. Spent the night in Brum where two murders in the city centre had just been commited. Nice place! Found a fantastic Fullers pub there. The Old Joint Stock. Worth a trip just for that.

The Old Joint Stock is a great pub - I go there often. There are many great pubs in Brum if you know where to go.

jezza Posted 18 April, 2014 Posted 18 April, 2014 Just bought 2 tickets in the lower tier, happy days, never been to Villa Park before. Question though guys - I'm not a local Saint (Bedfordshire). The woman on the phone said they'll take the tickets up to Villa Park on the coach. Where do I pick them up from... Villa ticket office?
