GarrettIvo Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 With reference to Guan's latest post, I predict the following: Incoming: Forster (gk) De Vrij (cb) Ings (Fw) Rojo (lb) with van dijk dependent on how capable Rojo is at covering for Cb Outgoing: Lovren 20m I will be one happy saints fan if the above happens before the shut of the window. I too would be happy with most of that and I am usually fairly pessimistic in general. Not sure we'd get Rojo as others have said, but the rest would be realistic. Meh.
Viking Warrior Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Old farts I had a big crush on Susan George at the time Wasn't keen on raquel or Jane
Viking Warrior Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 I hope van dyke has plenty of Loyalty otherwise Lloyd webber will try to buy him for a new stage version of Mary poppins
Convict Colony Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 sorry if double posted - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2701124/Newcastle-target-Serge-Gnabry-loan-Southampton-keen-Arsenal-kid.html
St Chalet Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 I have once again wasted several minutes of my life reading trivia to find out we've signed nobody and the supposed targets include Rojo who IMO is unlikely to come to us. Superb. At least Bear occasionally gives me a laugh or two. Follow this link for the filtered version. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk
sadoldgit Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 I never really got her at all, never found her particularly attractive. She spoke very highly of you though!
Saint_Abroad Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 I had a big crush on Susan George at the time Wasn't keen on raquel or Jane Viking, if I may and I say this with respect, when I read your posts I always picture it being said with a Winnie the Pooh type voice. Am I close?
sadoldgit Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 I had a big crush on Susan George at the time Wasn't keen on raquel or Jane Susan George was happy to get them out but Jane and Raquel didnt flash them. Jane Fonda was hot in Barbarella mind. None as hot as Bridgit Bardot though.
Saint Billy Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Susan George was happy to get them out but Jane and Raquel didnt flash them. Jane Fonda was hot in Barbarella mind. None as hot as Bridgit Bardot though. Bridget Bardot...... now your talking!
Matthew Le God Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 (edited) Gnabry on loan would be good. Would it? Since we've returned to the Premier League we haven't loaned in a single player. Our academy is more than capable of producing players for the Premier League, we don't need to be developing other teams players and blocking the pathway for our own youngsters. Yes it would, he's a very exciting player.

Our academy is more than capable of producing players for the Premier League, we don't need to be developing other teams players and blocking the pathway for our own youngsters. Can we not do both? Gnabry could arguably offer competition for JRod's place alongside the likes of McQueen. Plenty of game time to be had to both develop our own and play Gnabry.
sadoldgit Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Don't forget Julie Christie Could never forget Julie Christie. Fit as a butchers dog (even if she wasnt overly blessed in the busty substances dept). Named my second daughter after her character in Dr Zhivago - Lara. {note for the youngies here - busty substances was the name given to boobs by Pete & Dud back in the 60s}
sadoldgit Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Lesley-Anne Down in the pink panther.... She did favour stockings as I recall. What was that movie with Sean Connery about the caper on the railway in the 1800s? Seem to remember her in her undies. Innocent times!

Window Cleaner Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Yeah but then Arsenal reap the benefits. Probably not, they don't usually loan out players that they want to keep. Ramsey is probably the only exception in recent times.
Saint Charlie Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Gnabry plays in a problem position where we have nobody as good as him. Gnabry or Isgrove? Hmmm.

ThreeSixty Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Gnabry wouldn't be a loan. Wenger is abandoning his youth policy. Eisfield has already left for Fulham and could see a few more tweeners leaving. Would take Gnabry for a couple of mil.
Sevvy Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Gnabry on loan would be a good thing. I would go for the girl in the original Debi does Dallas

They will loan him out.

Kingsland Red Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Don't forget Julie Christie You beat me to it Nick. Dr Zhivago is always a great Christmas watch, albeit too long to stay awake for the whole thing after the feast.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 RIP to the best rumour of them all, Astori has signed for Roma.
BILLY Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 RIP to the best rumour of them all, Astori has signed for Roma. Thats a real shame. Could have done a job for us.

JC was apparently about 17. Hmmm .
Lighthouse Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Growing up I was all about Rachel from S Club 7. Showing my lack of age a tad. Sh*t I need a rumour to go with it... Arouna Kone?
DuncanRG Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 We wouldn't accept a loan deal for Gnabry just to do Arsenal a favour. We certainly wouldn't accept it if it would impede the progress of an academy player who we think is ready for the Premier League. Gnabry looked very sharp in his appearances last season and would provide us with much-needed depth/cover while Rodriguez is out. If he comes, it means McQueen/Isgrove aren't quite ready for the role that Gnabry would play, be that starting or coming off the bench.

St.JonB Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Forster is a definite. Also he said Morgan wouldn't leave us for Spurs but would probably go to Arsenal. He also thinks we're aiming for 12th this season. He also admired he had a thing for Jenny Agutter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

berkshiresaint Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Ah now Jane Fonda, there you're talking. Farah Fawcett lovely!!
Tamesaint Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Jenny Agutter ....now you are talking. Top class totty - a classic English rose.

timayes Posted 23 July, 2014 Posted 23 July, 2014 Always had a thing for Felicity Kendall - SCDAJFM I dont know any rumours, but overheard some geezer on his phone today say that he didn't think Chambers or Clyne were going anywhere. I don't know eho he was, and I don't know who he was talking to. Felicity Kendall - ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
