Some words about Terence Kangolo and Jordy Clasie and Southampton being interested in both (maybe?). Hopefully a dutch speaker can properly translate it as the google translation is, well...this

Besides FC Porto have also shown interest in Southampton and Lazio Jordy Clasie (23). Feyenoord wants tenfold Orange International in principle to sell and requires a transfer fee of eight million.

Furthermore Terence Kongolo interest from Southampton, VfB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV. In The defender prefers to stay at Feyenoord, but a substantial salary improvement must reciprocate stand because he is still one of the lowest-earning players in the club belongs. For him, however, the same as for Clasie (photo): basically, he can not leave because Feyenoord watching for an exodus. Left earlier after all Bruno Martins Indi (FC Porto), Daryl Janmaat (Newcastle United) and Graziano Pelle (Southampton).

"If we Stefan de Vrij selling is the past," said technical director Martin van Geel previously al "We want to own this season for the day with a strong team." Incidentally had to start this week, no club has reported for the surprisingly good WK-goer's Free. "That never ceases to amaze me, 'says Van Geel. "But it's still early in the transfer window. I can not imagine that it remains so quiet. "

Clasie next week against Besiktas (Champions League qualifying round) simply Feyenoord captain again. Assuming he still plays at De Kuip. The international took last season tire on Graziano Pelle, who in turn was succeeded Stefan. Quite the

It hasn't started yet. How can the start to the season be ruined when it is still a few weeks away?

Saint Richmond believes he has been conned out of the best part of £700 for his season ticket and is crying into his overdraft. He is a melt.

To be fair, you DO sound like a complete pillock. Lots of cool phraseology, plenty of cool swearwords, lots of self back patting.

Yup, w4nker is very fair.

There's no need for that. You obviously don't know him as we'll as the rest of us. Phil is one of the stalwarts of the forum and has been around even longer than me. You just have to skip over the bits about golf and learn and absorb from all the rest. Why anyone would want to play golf in the desert is beyond me, it's just one big bunker :)

I wonder whether St Richmond and St Charlie aren't either the same person or related.

I still stand by my suggestion for him that he probably should support some other team, even if he claims to have "supported" Saints since 1954. Being so negative THE whole time really can't be good for his health.

supporting Saints for 60 years is bound to make you depressive! I remember when I was 8 and no club would be better, no player would be better than the ones who pulled on our shirt. After see us lose 8-0, 7-0 7-1 and many more disasters I eventually lost my more optimistic notions. i now expect the worst and most of the time am not disappointed

It certainly helps when you caddy for Tiger though WG!! I must be the only one on here who loves his golf anecdotes but there again I love golf

Don't get me wrong, I think being a Saints fan (or any fan for that matter) you can have bouts of pessimism. Sometimes it is justified - my neighbour looked at me in a rather strange way when I asked in the 85th minute and when we were 3-0 up against Norwich at SMS last season, whether he thought it was in the bag yet. The descent into Championship, financial meltdown, the brink of liquidation etc.

But amongst all that, with me there are times of huge (and unrealistic, like most fans) optimism. It is the lack of these optimistic times that pervades the posts of too many posters. Maybe it's an age thing.

It's not the golf that winds people up, it's the manifest self-obsession, the condescension, the pompous playing to the gallery and the know-nothingness dressed up as insight through cringeworthy buzzwords and obfuscation.

I don't know whether or not I'm related to anyone

As regards supporting another team ? The emphasis is on the word "support" I make the distinction between supporting the eleven Players that run out on the pitch, and being "negative" against the way the Club is run.

Obviously, some on here can't see that.

Plus of course, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, which of course is OK as long as you toe the party line, but look out if you dare to criticise

I'm glad that Angelman and others think that everything in the SFC garden is lovely. The facts are that Cortese, Poch, and (so far) Five players don't share that view

(A) Yes, as a matter of fact I do. ( It was £735 by the way )

(B) No overdraft needed or required I'll just put it in the bad investments column

DP is a saintsweb legend, part of the old gang who lives through the highs and lows of being a Saints fan with humourous and humble spirit. Very engaging and educated mind. The forum used to be fun with characters at the fore. It has changed now and keyboard abuse seems the accepted norm, it isn't! I know the characters are still here, they just keep a low profile! One day maybe we will take a step back and realise we all have the same aim

Goodness knows why DP is now coming in for some flak? This place is gradually being taken over my mean spirited, depressive, pessimistic wrist slitters who, through their blinkered filters, not only want to suck the joy that any of us have in supporting SFC, they clearly do not have any themselves. If it really is that bad for you, go away and do something else. You may be miserable but there is no need to drag everyone else down with you. Rock on Phil!!!

Criticism is fine, it is the constant negativity and whining that is the problem. And things are better in the garden since some of the people who were spraying weedkiller on the plants have gone. Just to recap re the players that have left. They have gone to bigger gardens with much more expensive, exotic flowers.

If it turns out we don't get de Vrij (my preference) then we definitely ought to snap up Van Djik

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28331345 4-0, Celtic - KR Reykjavik

" Virgil van Dijk and Teemu Pukki were the heroes as Celtic outclassed KR Reykjavik at Murrayfield to stroll into the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

Dutch defender Van Dijk helped himself to an early double before Pukki repaid manager Ronny Deila's faith with a third before half-time..."

I'd have thought we'd have been better off signing Timothée Kolodziejczak from Nice for £5 or £6 million. Just as much of a gamble but a lot less money. He's 6ft 2 and can play at left back or centre back. And at only 22 he's a good age and will probably gives us a couple of years before we sell him on at a profit.

Another player we were linked to last year was Lucas Mendes at Marseille - a Brazilian who can also play at left back or centre back

Rojo would be a sign of intent though

At one point he looked set to join West Ham.One report I read at the time of this falling through said Nice wanted £9m. Although this article suggests agents fees were a problem:

According to Dutch reporters Feyenoord wants €8m for Clasie and €10m for De Vrij....

Open the cheque book Mr Rodgers....

We shouldn't even attempt to haggle over those prices, those acquisitions would certainly put a slightly different spin on this transfer window thus far.

Would they want to come though?.......show 'em the money!

Are some numpties being serious about Dubai Phil being a w4nker.

Very sad if they are . Phil is a good alround poster . Okay he likes golf and bullfrogs so what

He is an excellent poster .

Let's not start abusing him

We have already lost Weston and a couple of other decent posters in the past

I know it's a forum but some of the abuse towards decent posters is well below the belt

It's simply that I don't consider losing Cortese, Poch and circa five players as something to be positive about

Obviously you do ?

Shoushampton indeed. poor old Feyenoord - can't really complain about Liverpool when we have raided their larder quite as much.

Get a shiver down the spine every time someone mentions 'total football' our last foray was far from wonderful

The threory was fine but the execution was lacking!

Cute

Shame, If we had only gone to a garden centre and got some of Charlie's best growbags, we may have been able to cultivate them ourselves

Still, at least we will all be prepared when we go through the same selling process this time next year eh

Listen mate, people come, people go. We have new people in the club now and more to come. Personally I was not sad to see the back of the Don. I am not fussed about Pochettino and think that the Board have done really well to bring in someone of the calibre of Ronald Koeman. Shame we have lost Lambert, Shaw and Lallana (only three players have left as of now) but we have Pelle and Tadic with more to come so I am looking forward to seeing how they and the new players perform. Hardly the end of the world is it?

If anyone ever wonder why mods dont remove posts anymore should look at this thread.

The amount of non-topic posts are ridicolous and if they should take the time to remove them they would have to charge us £50 instead for the fiver...

(yes I know that I just contributed to it me too... ;) )

No its not, provided we make good on our losses + J-Rod out until Xmas. Currently that is 2 for 3/4, but if Lovren goes we are looking incredibly weak in the back 5.

I dont see possibly needing to replace Morgan as urgent, and I agree that replacing Pochettino with Koeman may well turn out to be a case of losing a penny and finding a pound.

Really think we need an addtional GK, CB and ST mid-term though..

it's all part of Phils persona. Very generous if you ever meet him. Ok if like myself golf is not of interest then your eyes glaze over when the stories are recounted but if you like golf some will be quite envious of his news. Discount him if you like but the man has a fantastic insight to the Arab mind and world and anybody thinking of doing business over there would be best served if they spoke to him first.

Personally the insults are unwarranted but this is the internet and you do get some weirdos

I like Phil - I called him a massive W4nker because his titbit has consigned me to a day of checking this bloody board hoping for something special to happen, all the time knowing there will just be pages of hysterical hand wringing.

What transfers (as per the heading)? We are faced with a wall of silence, a few platitudes from RK otherwise nothing on incomings and even less on outgoings. It's no good asking "What's going on?" since clearly nothing is!

Come on PR machine, get your heads off the pillow and get into action.

As I read it everyone wants out and no bugger wants to come in as a result. If we are to be entertained to Championship football next year at least give us some warning or are we supposed to work that out for ourselves?
