Pastor Patrón Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Witsel is a made up one. Its not even a rumour I'm afraid. Makes sense since he's actually good.
Pastor Patrón Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Cant wait for Rhodes !!!!! Shame he doesn't play in the eridivise

S-Clarke Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Maybe a slight relevance to us and our GK hunt - Celtic are about to wrap up the free transfer of Craig Gordon. Gordon in, Foster out?
SuperSAINT Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Maybe a slight relevance to us and our GK hunt - Celtic are about to wrap up the free transfer of Craig Gordon. Gordon in, Foster out? That'll do. I'm still hopeful we might get some news from Guan / K.Billy about this rumoured GK...
ART Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 What's become of us looking for a new goalkeeper? Goalkeeper was Poortviet's first priority and we end up with Forecast. I like Ben Foster. Thought he played really well in England's last game. Confident and doesn't panic, I'd loved to see us paying out a small sum to bring Andrew Surman back to his spiritual home. He's been out in limbo for far to long.

Window Cleaner Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 You have to be kidding about Surman? Probably not no.
Badger Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Sky Sports Scotland@ScotlandSky Sky Sources: @dundeeunitedfc reject two bids from @whufc_official for left back Andy Robertson. Second bid understood to be £1.5M He looks class and would be a steal for anything under 3 or 4m. WH also meeting Nice today for talks re Kolo. Agree about Robertson from what I've read. Dundee Utd have sold Ryan Gauld , the 'mini Messi' to Sporting Lisbon today for £3m. That seems to be the threshold for Robertson I'd suspect. Whether we are interested in Robertson, or Kolo, fact remains we need to move quickly for either to happen. Idle speculation on my part, but I suspect we'll sign neither and have another target in mind.
SuperSAINT Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 The new Dale Jennings? We shall see - will be interesting to see how he develops. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/jul/02/ryan-gauld-sporting-lisbon-football-culture?CMP=twt_gu
SuperSAINT Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Tottenham are locked in talks with Swansea over the potential transfer of Ben Davies, according to Sky sources. The 21-year-old left-back, who thrived for the Swans last season, has become one of new manager Mauricio Pochettino's top transfer targets this summer.

How satisfying it would be to hijack their deal. Unlikely, but we have landed Spurs targets before.
melmacian_saint Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Fraser Forster would be quality. However I think he's probably got better places to go to.
Matthew Le God Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Fraser Forster would be quality. However I think he's probably got better places to go to. Where? All 7 clubs above us in the Premier League last season have keepers he is unlikely dislodge to be first choice in 2014/15.
DuncanRG Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Where? All 7 clubs above us in the Premier League last season have keepers he is unlikely dislodge to be first choice in 2014/15. Arsenal need competition and I can't imagine Lloris will want to stay outside the Champions League much longer. May well go abroad too.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Where? All 7 clubs above us in the Premier League last season have keepers he is unlikely dislodge to be first choice in 2014/15. Depends on Lloris's status I'd think. Not much chatter about that just now but I did hear that he was looking to go CL this summer, PSG being favourites followed by Monaco if they can't get Valdes.
Matthew Le God Posted 2 July, 2014 Posted 2 July, 2014 Arsenal need competition and I can't imagine Lloris will want to stay outside the Champions League much longer. May well go abroad too. Come September England may nearly be "abroad" for Celtic players.

Badger Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 Swansea want Sigurdsson back from Spurs for £6M Probably part of the Ben Davies negotiation.
SuperSAINT Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 Bargain. I'd take him for that, we need to buy some goals. Agree with this totally. I'm assuming Tadic will play left side. So you could still argue the AMC role is spare. (Depending on whatever the hell Gaston wants to do)
Bearsy Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 (Depending on whatever the hell Gaston wants to do) i believe he wants to dwell on the ball and get tackled

Seany S Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 Huntelaar is angling at a move to England, apparently. Speculation linking him to Arsenal and (inevitably) Liverpool. Would be a terrific signing even at 30 years old. Has Ronald worked with him previously?

I'm sure I read somewhere that the deal was done.
SuperSAINT Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 Just keeping options open. They also have an interest in Aaron Cresswell. Pretty much the same LB targets as we appear to have. Add another name to their list, Charlie. Sky sources understand that West Ham United have seen their opening bid for Norwich City defender Martin Olsson rejected by the Canaries. Sam Allardyce has been a long-term fan of the 26-year-old Sweden international since their time together at Blackburn Rovers. A number of other clubs, including West Brom, are also looking closely at Olsson.
Saint Charlie Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 They are certainly covering their bases but Kolo is their preferred target.

the saint in winchester Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 More a HCDAJFU than a rumour. I know he has skate history, but as a freebee he would be a good addition to the squad, IMHO. [h=3]12:28[/h] Sky Sports understands that Burnley are poised to land Matt Taylorfollowing his departure from West Ham. The 32-year-old free agent, who previously spent three successful years with Bolton, is due to undergo a medical and is set to sign a two-year deal at Turf Moor.

SuperSAINT Posted 3 July, 2014 Posted 3 July, 2014 They are certainly covering their bases but Kolo is their preferred target. The West Ham left back search (via playing spin the bottle) has now landed on Aaron Cresswell. Sky sources understand that Ipswich defender Aaron Cresswell is having a medical at West Ham ahead of a proposed move to the Premier League club, with Sam Allardyce quickly moving on to new targets after seeing an offer for Norwich's Martin Olsson rejected.

If this truly is the case maybe they're looking at Clyne being able to move across to cover should he get injured. Could be hard to keep both him and Chambers happy otherwise.
