Transfers (rumours) thread

I am aware that we are very close to losing a deal for a player due to our delay in confirming the deal.

No idea who he is but he isn't playing in the WC, Valencia, Torino and Inter are interested.

p.s Jay Rod in good spirits and progressing well.

hasnt Tom Ince just turned down Inter?

Only because they said he'd be a fringe player and not really feature for them. Which is quite refreshing in a sense.

He'll end up in the PL somewhere, but didn't have anywhere near the impact I thought he'd have at Palace. Was a bit pants really.

He wasn't even a starter was he? Although I guess e doesn't really fit with Pulis' style.

He needs some training but he could be a good signing for someone. I'd take him depending on few and wages. Is he a free transfer?

He's out of contract, but under 23 so it will be a tribunal fee to Blackpool if he joins a Premier League team.

Seems to fit, a position we need and Torino interested as well. That said, if Koeman is going to bring Graziano Pelle, do we need Paulinho as well?

And to those saying we're favourites on Skybet to sign Caulker - yes, we are at 7-2!! To put some perspective on that Spurs are even money to sign J Rod.

Saints current strikers...

- Sam Gallagher (inexperienced)

- Dani Osvaldo (mentalist)

- Jay Rodriguez (injured)

We are likely to need more than one new striker this summer.

Probably didn't phrase that quite right. I don't know either too well, but I gather they're both out & out centre forwards. Are they too similar? Do we need to spend two lots of £8-10m on very similar strikers? (Especially when 2 out of the 3 strikers we do have, assuming we can't get rid of Osvaldo, are also similar?)

Put it this way, if we had Gallagher, Osvaldo, J Rod, Pelle and Paulinho - how do you see them fitting together?

Southampton have lined up Brazilian striker Paulinho to replace Rickie Lambert.

Paulinho scored 15 Serie A goals for Livorno last season and is valued at around £8m.

Italian club Torino are also in the hunt.

Should Arsenal not take back their Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell, who could yet haunt England and who has been abroad for three years, then West Brom or Southampton could move in.

Campbell would be a good shout. Would probably frustrate at times but he can get past people and has a good left foot (which adds a bit of variety to our options in terms of attacking from wide positions).

I've got no idea what sort of fee Arsenal would want.

Fingers crossed.

Sky Bet@skyjamiecasey

Sky Bet have now suspended betting on Steve Sidwell's future after an alarming run of bets on a move to Stoke #transferwindow #scfc

Has no one ever really thought that it's not "agents" spreading these rumours, but people connected with places such as Sky Bet? With more than one club, there is suddenly a market, with a market, cash can suddenly be taken.

It's all such a farce.

I can confirm what The FalseLibero has written, i have this afternoon had the same info passed to me from an excellent source who would not lie. They have said Ings is weighing up his options between the two clubs but he has a strong pull towards Southampton because of family. If i thought for one minute my source was wrong i wouldn't bother posting this. My source is as close to the Ings family as you can get without being related!
