OldNick Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Yeah, I'd take Redmond. Not sure what kind of fee Norwich would want for him but can play either side. I'd prefer Scott Sinclair, he is a wasted talent that if in the right surroundings could still be a top English player
SuperSAINT Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 I think I would take Redmond over Sinclair. Agree. Redmond has more potential IMO.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Agree. Redmond has more potential IMO. He is 5 years younger and is on an upward curve. Sinclair's career has stalled and the jury is still out on his ability at PL level.
SuperSAINT Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 He is 5 years younger and is on an upward curve. Sinclair's career has stalled and the jury is still out on his ability at PL level. Best season I can remember him having was Swansea's promotion season.
OldNick Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 He is 5 years younger and is on an upward curve. Sinclair's career has stalled and the jury is still out on his ability at PL level. I watched Redmond play for young England the other day and was underwhelmed. I would still be happy to have him here but Sinclair still has something to prove and potential to be a decent player
Matthew Le God Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Best season I can remember him having was Swansea's promotion season. What about the following season when he scored 8 Premier League goals?
Saint Charlie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 What about the following season when he scored 8 Premier League goals? He was probably better in the Championship season where got 20 odd goals and was Swansea's key man.
shurlock Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 I watched Redmond play for young England the other day and was underwhelmed. I would still be happy to have him here but Sinclair still has something to prove and potential to be a decent player Against Brazil? The whole side was s***e.
Convict Colony Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Southampton are negotiating with Torino the transfer out of Gaston Ramirez, according to Sky Italy. Torino offering loan + option to buy - Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri 1m
DG Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ramirez back to Italy: http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calciomercato/torino-started-negotiating-southamptons-gaston-ramirez-the-details/ Hope we get a transfer and not loan/buy later.
Olallana Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 At last rumours (as the thread titlie) on here rather than HCDAJFU discussions...
Saint Charlie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ramirez exit makes sense if he is on 60k a week we ca use that in a much better way. Doubt Torino will buy him outright though.
itchen_dan Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Shame as I thought he would be a real threat under a manger who would appreciate his qualities. Poch style just wasn't for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Would be nice for the new manager to cast his eye over him. With Lallana's probable departure, we're going to need two or three AMs.
Baird of the land Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Torino don't sound serious. Clearly want to reinforce their squad and then back out of spending money to buy him. Part of me still wants to see him adapt to premier league as he clearly has sheds of talent and is young. Don't want to lose Lallana but had wondered if we did might he have more joy for us then.
Chez Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ramirez linked with Torino. Ah, too slow. He certainly doesn't want another season of sitting on the bench.
cellone Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ramirez back to Italy: http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calciomercato/torino-started-negotiating-southamptons-gaston-ramirez-the-details/ Hope we get a transfer and not loan/buy later. Not going anywhere till new manager comes in. Ask Ralph.
SuperSAINT Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ah, the old 'every 3 monthly' Gaston Italian transfer link. I still like him as a player, but it never seems like he's ever fit.
Baird of the land Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Swansea set to sign a striker from Twente.. Looks like a decent signing by swansea(though you can never tell till see in the flesh).
pangy Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 I bet you could pick Redmond up for £4-5 mill,if not cheaper probably same for Sinclair
itchen_dan Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Ah, the old 'every 3 monthly' Gaston Italian transfer link. I still like him as a player, but it never seems like he's ever fit. I think Poch used to use that as an excuse to not play him. He's 23, there is no chance he's crap or that unfit if he keeps getting linked with Italian sides and consistently is picked and played for Uruguay.
slickmick Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 I bet you could pick Redmond up for £4-5 mill,if not cheaper probably same for Sinclair buy both.
Reynoldson!! Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Scott Sinclair had a rib removed and hasn't been the same since - damaged goods
SuperSAINT Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/sheffield-united-keen-on-sharp/?
ToreSF Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Rumours about Leonardo Ulloa as replacement for Lambert. Has scored a few goals, and is quite big. 27 years old.
SuperSAINT Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Gylfi Sigurdsson apparently allowed to leave Spurs. Might need ourselves a goal grabbing AMC at this rate.
Heisenberg Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Gylfi Sigurdsson apparently allowed to leave Spurs. Might need ourselves a goal grabbing AMC at this rate. Great player, just needs regular 1st team football. Still only 24 too. Get Sinclair from Man C too and we have the pick of the Swansea 2k12 side at knock down prices. Sinclair just turned 25 so both good ages.
S-Clarke Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Gylfi Sigurdsson apparently allowed to leave Spurs. Might need ourselves a goal grabbing AMC at this rate. Would snap him up at a heartbeat. But I think we've got a lot to go through before we can think about adding players!
SuperSAINT Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Great player, just needs regular 1st team football. Still only 24 too. Surprised me too. Would snap him up at a heartbeat. But I think we've got a lot to go through before we can think about adding players! Agreed. That was half the reason I posted it to get away from the horrible negative stuff.
S-Clarke Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Also, another name to throw out there - Chadli? Being let go as well, always quite rated him. Don't think he's done quite badly at Spurs? I think there are a few players we can poach from them, potentially. (At some point..!) I think they've got too many AMC style players as a start, and will start to trim it down.

Yeah, I think he'd definitely do a job for us. Christ, we have to reinvent our whole attack pretty much. Another name I just thought of - Piazon at Chelsea - Is he EVER going to get a game there?
S-Clarke Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Yeah, I think he'd definitely do a job for us. Christ, we have to reinvent our whole attack pretty much. Another name I just thought of - Piazon at Chelsea - Is he EVER going to get a game there? They've got a collection of about 30 of the brightest young players in europe, 1 or 2 may start to get games there, but doubtful. Hate the way they search Europe signing the best young talent, not playing it, and farm it out to random leagues in Europe. A total waste of the talent pool.
badgerx16 Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Is Tom Ince back at Blackpool? Yes, but he's supposedly holding talks with Inter Milan.
cellone Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 These are the kind of transfer rumours I'm looking for. Plenty of separate threads for the outs.
S-Clarke Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Is Tom Ince back at Blackpool? Out of contract, Blackpool have said he's all but left them. Currently training with Inter with a view to earning a contract, that's gone quiet though, so not sure if that will occur.
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 If Lallana goes I'd like Sigurdsson. Not that similar, but doesn't get that many games at Spurs, not sure if MP will play him while Eriksson is there, and he gets goals (and great ones). very grateful you aren't on the next manager shortlist
sentry Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Sigurdsson would be quality. He is just what we need too, tends to be able to pick out a goal from no-where and has a cracking shot and good at arriving late to the box, something i have felt we lack is goals from deeper.
sentry Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Also what do people think of Moses.... Chelsea clearly dont want him and I like him from what I saw of him at wigan, but did not seem to do it so much with liverpool.
ratio_decidendi Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Also what do people think of Moses.... Chelsea clearly dont want him and I like him from what I saw of him at wigan, but did not seem to do it so much with liverpool. Absolutely agree with you about Sigurdsson, and Moses looks like he could be an interesting asset. I didn't realise that he's still only 23! Are Chelsea really not that keen on him?
ThreeSixty Posted 3 June, 2014 Posted 3 June, 2014 Absolutely agree with you about Sigurdsson, and Moses looks like he could be an interesting asset. I didn't realise that he's still only 23! Are Chelsea really not that keen on him? "23"
ratio_decidendi Posted 3 June, 2014 Posted 3 June, 2014 "23" Right. A very mature looking 23... would still take him though.
goneawol Posted 3 June, 2014 Posted 3 June, 2014 Pochettino has taken the Ever Banega rumour with him to Spuds http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2647214/Ever-Banega-wanted-Mauricio-Pochettino-Tottenham-join-Sunderland-race-Valencia-midfielder.html
Convict Colony Posted 3 June, 2014 Posted 3 June, 2014 Right. A very mature looking 23... would still take him though. what about this 17yr old !!!
OldNick Posted 3 June, 2014 Posted 3 June, 2014 very grateful you aren't on the next manager shortlist++++++1
