eelpie Posted 21 March, 2014 Share Posted 21 March, 2014 I was watching the MOTD highlights on Iplayer at work with some American collegues and I explained the comment between Shearer and Gazza about Rickie and Jay Rod, especially about our journey and the fact that Rickie joined us in League 1 and he has played for England. They reckon that we could have a 'movie of the week' based on what we have and Rickies success, and they mentioned people like Vince Papale and Pride of the Yankees and the Natural. I know that in the UK it may not interest too many, and the fact that Rickie is still playing, but would we make a good film? The Yanks like this sort of thing, success from adversity etc, and the number of 'Soccer' films around are pretty slim. I know it's a peice of fun, but what do you lot reckon? Who could we pick to play the main roles? I'm sure Christian Bale would be happy if he got to use a scouse accent as Rickie. ANd Robert DeNiro as The Don. Over to you But we haven't won anything yet
