Non "Lowe out" sticky?

Can we have a sticky so that anyone who wants to discuss anything that isn't Rupert Lowe related can do it on there please?

 

This will not be the first such sticky, oh no.

 

I'm sure we all agree that partitioning the forum into topics-by-sticky and having one enormous, unnavigable behemoth of a thread for each generic category of Saints related musings would do no end of good to this forum and would help to spice tings up a bit. It would also help to stop people posting pointless "look at me" style garbage threads as these would, over timed be susbsumed by one huge "sticky wicket" thread.

 

Each week we can have a poll for the next topic to experience "death by sticky". These polls will be held on a giant sticky poll thread.

 

It's the future of fora.

Are you advocating some form of fly-paper? Or perhaps dental floss, if it's to be a thread? If what you mean is a giant sticky pole then I really don't want to know about it.

I can't speak for Steve or Baj, but I suspect they'd agree that The Saints Web isn't going to get into an agenda for either getting Rupert Lowe out, or keeping him in the Chair at St Marys, whatever their personal views. Therefore, I won't be sticking any Lowe Out or Lowe In threads to the main forum. If you want to talk about Rupert that much, the thread will keep itself buoyant.

A good idea in trying to get the pro / anti members of Mr Lowe, Wilde, Askam etc on here to

reduce the fighting about a situation that we ordinary folks can't change.

However I think that you would have more chance training a three legged elephant to balance

on a greased cricket ball than getting your idea used.

Its your shout of course, but surely by creating an exclusive thread for a topic Saints Web isn't endorsing a view - its just dedicating an area where that subject can be discussed, for and against, over a long term? ..as opposed to clogging up the other threads.

I think it's more important that we have a sticky about :-

 

o The proper use of punctuation

o double negatives

o Their, there and they're

o it's and its

o parasite or paracite?

 

These are all very important issues that could drag this forum down!!
