Window Cleaner Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 Spurs seem to be falling to pieces at the moment. Shame they didn't pick up some knocks or Red Cards. Without Adebayor they would be nothing although Townsend is improving. What fun it was watching the Man Ure game, shame Gerrard missed the "1st Penalty Hat-trick" but what a shambles Moyes has made of them. It won't happen but life would get very interesting last few matches IF we pick up a win on Sunday. Spurs could have had a shedload of goals today, mind you that's partly Arsenal's fault because their midfield was too weak. When will Wenger accept that he'll never make a DM out of Chamberlain ? He's handy going forward, defensively he's a liabilty so Wenger has to choose between OxC,Rosicky,Podolski and Cazorla for his 3 AM places. They got out of jail today because spurs couldn't hit the proverbial barn door but on another day they could have shipped 8.

Sherwood looks to be struggling to keep his emotions in check, but I thought Spurs were actually quite good today, fair bit of effort, beaten by a cracking goal and a good team, I actually expected worse. Spurs played well, just couldn't finish any of it off. Townsend loooked really dangerous.
Bearsy Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 Man U car crash has been hilarious this season! Feel a bit bad for moyes tho, there's no way a ref like Clattenburg would of dared give 3 pens if Ferguson was still there. Loved him bottling the fourth tho, and refusing to send Rafael off, helmet. DuncanRG Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 We can beat Spurs next week but it took a masterclass from Koscielny and Mertesacker to keep them out today. Lovren and Fonte will have to be on top of their game and we can't afford to concede much of the ball like Arsenal did today. If we leak a goal I'm not sure we have the grit to recover fully and Ward-Prowse could struggle in the middle either way. But Spurs play a very high line and aren't master passers at the minute. Keep the pressure up and we can nick a few breaks. Rodriguez through the middle again for me and Clyne kept in at right back.
shurlock Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 Thought Spurs were poor - plenty of huff and puff and energy but lacked ideas and creativity. Can't remember Arsenal's keeper making many saves.
dubai_phil Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 Thought Spurs were poor - plenty of huff and puff and energy but lacked ideas and creativity. Can't remember Arsenal's keeper making many saves. One save late on from Adebayor after a dodgy 5 mins at the start of the 2nd half It's fair to say that they came to life after HT, but by then they could have been 2 or 3 down, the defensive mess from the FB's pushing up and Oxo breaking at speed made even the 'taters comment on how bad their set up was. Sure 2nd half they had passion and the 2 Arsenal CB's did a FAR better job than Fonte & Maya (probably) could do on Adebayor to keep them in the game, but you could sense the frustration. My point about falling apart was about their wins in how many games? stats - they are on a run almost as bad as us over Xmas. While they at least had a shape and some type of style and in the 2nd half Passion about them, they should have been buried before 30 mins were on the clock. Mind you, while not good, their set up shape and ideas made Manure look like a Pub team
