90% of the problems at Utd steam from Moyes.

His awful buys, his rubbish selections and his seemingly uncanny knack of putting out sides that have no shape to them at all. A disorganised rabble is one word for it.

Mata was a good buy if a bit expensive at 37 million, doesn't help if Moyes doesn't know what to do with him though. Utd's problem is their CM, Carrick has no bite just now and Fellaini is just junk, probably because he needs to play farther forward but they already have enough underperforming players in that area.

He has such creative players at his disposal and yet he continues to play down the wings and spam balls into the box.

Giving Rooney 300k certainly doesn't help.

A part of me wonders how we aren't above them at times! :/

We might be before long, especially if we manage to hold on to both our manager and players AND strengthen where necessary in the summer. As dominant as Utd have been for most of the years I've been alive, no team sustains it forever. A couple of poor purchases and a lack of continuation of Fergie's work, and Utd could well be rebuilding for a long time. It happened to Liverpool, so strong in the 80's, and it's only now through a combination of good management and good transfers that Liverpool are finally threatening to get back to the top of the table. I'm not saying they'll be mid-table, but they could be skirting around the top ten for a few years unless they appoint a top manager that brings in the right players.

Their 'name' and fanbase will be what keeps them in with a chance.

throw in Rooney. he is obviously very talented yet does what he likes on the pitch.

Never touched Sturridge. If that had happened against us I'd be fuming but against Manu it's feckin hilarious. Shame Gerrard missed the pen.

have to agree with that. Sturridge dived.

I know it's cool and fashionable to say you have to stick with your man, but you cant stick with clearly the wrong person

how it is only 2-0 I do not know

and a stupid one at that! He should be long gone, he's trashed that team.

Trashed it ? not sure, think it just got old but he's certainly not done much to rejuvenate it. As I said earlier on their problem is in CM, Carrick is getting old and with their ageing CBs and constant injuries to others they're dropping Jones back into the defence all of the time instead of using him alongside Carrick where he played last season. Fellaini needs to be further forward

than he appears to be, at Everton Osman and Pienaar were the CM pair with Fellaini in front of them as Davis is to us. No point in paying 20+ million for a bloke and then misusing him, needed other signings. Could well be that they've got themselves into a salarial pit with keeping the oldies on long after their useful term has past, like Giggs...contributes nothing as a player, bet he's not on the 5K a week he's actually worth though. For Rooney's actual contribution 300K a week is just ridiculous, a good manager would tell him to f*ck off the minute he starts asking for more money as he seems to every season.

That united team is a disgrace. Fail to get past olympiakos and lose to man city and I'd be sacking moyes. He is clearly not up to it. I mean, his last sub ... Taking mata off when you've lost and he's the only player intelligible for the olympiakos game??!! Wtf? And I hope Rooney is crocked for the World Cup. If he was even half as good as he thinks he is he'd be great. But he isn't.

Still, it is all very amusing. I'd love to beat them on the final day to finish above them.

I want Liverpool to win the league. I know a lot of Liverpool fans and would be made up for them. I want arsenal to win the fa cup, as they consistently player football the right way and deserve a trophy.

I think Arsenal are more likely to win the FA Cup than Liverpool the league though. I just think they will slip up against a poor team and screw it up.

Newcastle, Everton, Man Utd all to play at home.

Yep and we have to win all those and we might have a chance of 6th. Lose to one of them, game over for 6th. Even more so if we lose to Everton, but besting Man U on the last day to get 6th would be amazing!

Spurs seem to be falling to pieces at the moment. Shame they didn't pick up some knocks or Red Cards. Without Adebayor they would be nothing although Townsend is improving.

What fun it was watching the Man Ure game, shame Gerrard missed the "1st Penalty Hat-trick" but what a shambles Moyes has made of them.

It won't happen but life would get very interesting last few matches IF we pick up a win on Sunday.
