Nobody appealed for the second which suggests it wasn't. Definite sending off for Kompany though, needed a full back to speed in (a la Clyne last week for Lovren's challenge)

No it does not, players know sod all. 100% penalty. I would have given that on a Sunday morning, in the youth league.

Collymore was saying about technology for all debatable decisions on Call Collymore. Makes me wonder whether that would be overload on the techy front.

Harsh red for Willian there IMO...

Wow that was close to a second.

What happens in that case, if the ball was over the line, does a team contest it straight away? What happens if play continues?

Goal line technology? There's no appealing, it's not like tennis. The referee is told instantly via a device on his wrist if it's a goal or not, if it's not over the line then he doesn't stop play. There's no point in players appealing anymore as if it is over it'll be given every time.

Definite red for Ramires. Mourinhos was a lol moment.

I didn't even realise Albrighton still played for Villa...

I don't know if anyone listens to 5live? But Pat Murphy's post match interview with Mourinho is just amazing. For context Pat Murphy ... Erudite, fearless, doesn't care about his career etc. He's getting on now but best in the business.

FWIW I'd rather take Lambert over JRod but on form it'd be the other way round. I wonder if there's room for both, but I guess that's for another thread.

Oh look, Carroll scored a header. England material ISO. (In savages opinion.)

That goal would've been given without technology. Looked in to me.

Most fans still think that is a goal, not knowing the whole ball rule, same as the players not knowing the offside rule when the goalkeeper is ahead of the ball.
