Last week, like most weeks, I got really depressed listening to most the people on here moaning on the match thread and then moan about god knows what. This unfortunately has become a bit of a permanent fixture over the season, as I cannot really afford the money to go, when we are taking on extra work just to get by. I have expected that I cannot go and this is how it is going to be for now.

Then last Sunday evening, I get a text asking if I want to go to the Norwich game as my friends dad was away. Also as he knew that I am a little broke at the moment, mentioned that it would be free. So brilliant just a tank of petrol required instead, makes it half the price it would normally be.

So I have had a great day today that would not have happened, if it was not for a very thoughtful friend. I have managed to watch the mighty Saints dominate then try and throw a match away, only to wrap it up. Have lunch shouted for me by fore mentioned friend.

I have taken all my children to see their auntie on the same trip. Seen my mother and her really nice new house. All 3 kids have been great in the car journey and my wife got to have a day to herself and then an evening out with her best friend. All this happened because of a text last Sunday.

I have to say I really appreciate this, but really do not think he realises just how much!

Just thought I would share this as it really has made me week, as my last Saints game was Wigan away a year ago!!! This has not been easy for me at all and I think my friend realised this.
