Turkish Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 Bizarre comment. Why? Second highest English scorer and saints leading scorer.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 I think today showed that unless we get another player to take up Rickiy's role we need to play him all the time , not as a Sub, we don't have another player who holds up play and lets others join the attack the way Ricky does without him up top we look a poorer side. Osvaldo wasn't that player and neither is Jrod those type of players need to feed of the service Ricky provides. I think a lot of people need to stop obsessing about SRL lack of speed and the fact he isn't scoring every game and see how he is integral to how the team plays. But he doesn't play like that when he starts every game because he gets fatigued. And we were winning before he came on
doddisalegend Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 But he doesn't play like that when he starts every game because he gets fatigued. And we were winning before he came on We were struggling before he came on. We were great first 15 minutes then we went off the boil and tried our hardest to let Norwich back into the game. RL comes on scores one and sets one up and our attacking play looks far more dangerous. You can spin it anyway you want but we are a better team when SRL plays what we need is a replacement in the SRL mould sadly most people seem obsessed with the idea of getting a striker who can run fast. ottery st mary Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 Well done Mr Lambert ...absolute class. Way ahead of Carroll. For that matter....so is Jay Rod......my MOTM TODAY.
S-Clarke Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 Well done Mr Lambert ...absolute class. Way ahead of Carroll. For that matter....so is Jay Rod......my MOTM TODAY. Jay is really playing himself into contention at the moment, it has to be said. One that is to be considered for the world cup, without a doubt. Pace and honest work rate are vital ingredients in any side and young Jay gives you both of them in abundance.

Excellent game today...very impressed with Jay Rod. Worked very hard and put Norwich under lots of pressure....SOOO pleased when he scored.. The world class shot that hit the cross bar was sublime........Saw it on the screen and third showing looked as though...closer to a goal each time. Well done Jay Rod......pack your suitcase for Rio. Same flight for Lallana , Shaw and Lambert... Clyne is a long shot if Walker continues with injury problems. The9 Posted 15 March, 2014 Share Posted 15 March, 2014 I'd take someone like Crouch over both of them at the moment, which isn't saying much.
Jonnyboy Posted 16 March, 2014 Share Posted 16 March, 2014 I feel that he needs to stop making awful passes like he did last week. Just destroys everything we attempt, either by making an awful pass or not being where he should be when he should be. Looked over last week's game again yesterday evening, he was rank, absolutely rank. ....
