Either the US or the far east, I'd have thought. Foreign pre-season "tournaments" have been going on for years so it's time we jumped on that gravy train.

Apparently zero chance of long haul, Poch won't have it in a WC summer. Rightly so IMO. I'm predicting Spain again with a glamour tie at the end (Barca v Saints, La Macia vs The Lodge:))

Good point, forgot about the WC. Not a problem for our English boys, mind; they'll be back home before the knockout matches start...

Good. I'm no fan of long haul pre season trips. Mind you, without a jaunt to the USA we'll never be able to emulate those big clubs like Pompey.

Personally, I don't give a monkeys where they go, providing they come back fit and raring to go, without injuries, and too much risk (diving off bridges into rivers !).

 

A friendly in Cheltenham would be appreciated though.

Obviously I don't know where it's going to be, but I've got a strong feeling that we will be given a great deal more notice than we have been in recent years, hence a better chance to be able to travel.
