CB Saint Posted 12 March, 2014 Posted 12 March, 2014 One of the greatest inventions and the biggest distractions of all time
pap Posted 12 March, 2014 Posted 12 March, 2014 Strictly speaking, it's the Web that is 25. Internet has been around in some form since ARPA decided they'd like a network that continued to work after being nuked. Still, a lot of change in that time. I remember the days when a beard was required to use the Internet. They let anyone on it now.

petermcpete Posted 12 March, 2014 Posted 12 March, 2014 Invented by Tim Berners-Lee of our very own Southampton Uni!
bridge too far Posted 12 March, 2014 Posted 12 March, 2014 (edited) Invented by Tim Berners-Lee of our very own Southampton Uni! Strange - Wiki has him down as a graduate of Queens College, Oxford. Edit just seen he was a Chair at So'ton University - my mistake Edited 12 March, 2014 by bridge too far
hypochondriac Posted 12 March, 2014 Posted 12 March, 2014 What is most remarkable is that he gave it away to the world for free. An unbelievable act tbh.
