for_heaven's_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 That was a nasty / cynical one from Davis Probably necessary though.
Leicestersaint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We need to buck our ideas up - we look very ordinary and quite dirty - 3 bookings.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Probably necessary though. Perhaps, CP just returned the favour
Barry Sanchez Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Wanyamas passing is criminal Gives it away time after time, under no pressure too #worried Would never have him above Cork, another great back up signing but far from a 1st team player if we are to progress.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Yannick Bolasie is tricky... Appears to have the beating of Clyne Id be tempted to switch Clyne for Chambers
melmacian_saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We're fizzing out fast here again. The gap between our attacking and defensive midfield is bigger than Watford's.
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Probably necessary though. Not really. Was still deep in their half.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Would never have him above Cork, another great back up signing but far from a 1st team player if we are to progress. Hes been very poor since his return. Do wonder if hes fully fit?
verlaine1979 Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Lambert's touch and short passing has been woeful so far. I hope after committing to this opinion, he'll now get an assist.
melmacian_saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Not really. Was still deep in their half. Wanyama was very far into ours though. There was no one close enough to press and they were breaking away.
DuncanRG Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Yannick Bolasie is tricky... Appears to have the beating of Clyne Id be tempted to switch Clyne for Chambers Bolasie's lightning quick. Don't think Chambers would fare much better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Leicestersaint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We look ragged - where has the passing game gone?
Mr X Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We look ragged - where has the passing game gone? the passing game isn't always effective thats our problem
igsey Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 I've been watching Davis more closely than usual today, seeing as a lot of people were debating him vs Gaston in the line-up... I have to say, Davis has not impressed. Granted, he doesn't do much wrong, but lots of simple balls and no real penetration. Not sure Gaston is the right replacement though.
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 This is good. Keeping possession now to try and settle the game down again.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We look a horrible dirty side this half. Whats happened to our passing?

Sheaf Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Well at least the curse of the ex-player isn't going to strike us today now that Puncheon has gone off.
DuncanRG Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Scneiderlin challenge looked rough in real time but on replays I'm not sure it's even a foul. Gaston on soon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have to say, Davis has not impressed. Granted, he doesn't do much wrong, but lots of simple balls and no real penetration. Not sure Gaston is the right replacement though. We insist on playing him too out wide and too deep in midfield for some reason. I was expecting us to get him further forward with Wanyama on the side but nothing changed tactically. Of course, Wanyama now sits deeper than Cork and the team looks very far apart.
nta786 Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 We've really piled up the yellows in key positions too :/ I can see us conceding soon, really can.
eelpie Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Well at least the curse of the ex-player isn't going to strike us today now that Puncheon has gone off. And if Ince score we'll sign him instead.
Leicestersaint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 I can see us getting a red card here. It's not pretty.
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 If Wanyama could learn not to be so casual when passing the ball he would be some player.
DG Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Just shoot ffs! We'll do well to finish with the points and 11 on the pitch at this rate. Very poor.
igsey Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 I wish wish wish Wanyama could pass, we'd have such a good player on our hands then.
melmacian_saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 I'd like to stress how terrible this pitch is. The ball struggles to role.
Beckenham Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Woeful pass from Wanyama... He cant be fit? Not fully, he said so in an interview the other week. Would explain why he started from the bench.
DuncanRG Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Appalling from Wanyama. Threw a good attack away Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mr X Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 If Wanyama could learn not to be so casual when passing the ball he would be some player. I honestly don't think he's as good as most people think even when fit his passing is woefull he doesn't look a natural footballer but he is strong
Saint Fan CaM Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Will we be able to hang on? Will a Saints player actually attempt to shoot and score from open play? You decide dear readers.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Not fully, he said so in an interview the other week. Would explain why he started from the bench. Doesnt excuse some woeful passing again today, but explains his chnage in form. Looks well of the pace and a shade of the player he was earlier in the season.
Dalek2003 Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Will we be able to hang on? Will a Saints player actually attempt to shoot and score from open play? You decide dear readers. Feeling very nervous !

Leicestersaint Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 This is where Pochettino is poor - he should be reorganising things and bringing on one or two subs. He doesn't seem to have a plan B.
DuncanRG Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 This is where Pochettino is poor - he should be reorganising things and bringing on one or two subs. He doesn't seem to have a plan B. We need a change but I'm not sure what would work. Going forward it might make sense to put Rodriguez through the middle and have Gaston on for Lambert, but we need Rickie at the back if Palace keep at us. What would you do? Saint Fan CaM Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Gallagher on for Lambert...oh well, nothing to get excited about.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 8 March, 2014 Posted 8 March, 2014 Been a pleasure on this thread today, but judging by some of the quoted posts from my ignored list..glad i used it
