Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 March, 2014 Share Posted 4 March, 2014 Doesnt help - but Waze is a good free satnav (App) if you have a smartphone?

buctootim Posted 4 March, 2014 Share Posted 4 March, 2014 You're lucky, tomtoms are shite. Claim the insurance and get a garmin. I prefer them to Garmin or Navtech especially on lane changes and junctions -much clearer.
scotty Posted 4 March, 2014 Share Posted 4 March, 2014 I prefer them to Garmin or Navtech especially on lane changes and junctions -much clearer. I hate everything about them, from the horrible windscreen attachment to the poxy screen direction which you cant change. And the appalling battery life, if you dont use the thing for a few days it has to be plugged in. I gave up on mine after 6 weeks, flogged it on ebay and forked out for a map upgrade on my old garmin.

mightysaints Posted 4 March, 2014 Author Share Posted 4 March, 2014 Cheers, made me smile. Not sure if I can claim as its a company car
Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 March, 2014 Share Posted 4 March, 2014 Of course you can. Your company will have insurance just like the rest of us. In fact it will be easier as insurers like to keep corporate clients happy.* *My formal advice as penance for joke.
trousers Posted 4 March, 2014 Share Posted 4 March, 2014 Cheers, made me smile. Not sure if I can claim as its a company car My home contents insurer reimbursed me for one that got nicked from my car last year as my policy included cover for 'personal possessions away from the home'. I even told them that I'd somewhat stupidly left the car unlocked overnight but they said as long as it wasn't in view (e.g. glove box) then they would pay up. mightysaints Posted 5 March, 2014 Author Share Posted 5 March, 2014 Good news, the TomTom has been recovered. Just had Old Bill on the phone to say a lady saw a couple of lads dump it in her garden round the corner from me. She carefully put it in a bag and handed it in. They are going to dust it for prints so hopefully will get the gits.

I predict that they will find Tokyo-Saint's fingerprints, but in a head-scratching twist they will also find Bear DNA on it. Work that one out. Work that one out. Good news indeed. But I'll wager they find dabs from Dune / Sanchez and the last recorded journey will be from Freemantle to the Nobwood Arms (or whatever it is called) in Liverpool.
