Lord Duckhunter Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 If Rickie had been in on that chance that the defender put onto the post, both ball and defender would've been in the back of the net. What, like at Sunderland?
Turkish Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Gerrard is quality, how anyone says otherwise is mental I actually think he is better for England now than in is supposed prime. Much more discipline, less charging about like he used to do and dictates the play. Best player on the pitch by a mile.
Batman Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 I actually think he is better for England now than in is supposed prime. Much more discipline, less charging about like he used to do and dictates the play. Best player on the pitch by a mile. agree. On the flip side, Rooney is no way as good compared to when he first came on the scene Euro 2004, he was brilliant. 10 fecking years ago now
RonManager Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 What, like at Sunderland? Yes, what a goal that was!
SaintRobbie Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Need lallana on to make something happen. Agreed
Saint_Ash Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Shaw linking up with sterling could be exciting. Lallana coming on!
Turkish Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 2 saints academy products on the pitch, another on the bench.
Batman Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 2 saints academy products on the pitch, another on the bench. walcott would have been a dead cert had he been fit, too
Saint Without a Halo Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 2 saints academy products on the pitch, another on the bench. Must be the first time since Beckham Scholes Neville et al
mightysaints Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Johnston accident waiting to happen, god he is so crap
Mattio Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Glen Johnson is f*cking sh1t, how he's in the team over other RB's I dunno
Saint_clark Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 That's right, focus on the foul by Lallana rather than Gerrard giving the ball away in the first place.
Turkish Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Chamberlain on. Saints academy now makes up over 1/4 of the England team,
igsey Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Lallana and Shaw both seem to be playing faster than the rest of the team - both of them have now put in very good crosses, only to find the nearest person only just on the edge of the area.
Cascadia Saint Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Get in there! Lallana cross for the goal, awesome.
Katalinic Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Well done Adam - looks like creating something every time he has the ball.
Saint_clark Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Anyone notice the massive bags under the eyes of Lambert just then?
DT Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 So Adam Johnson and Andy Carroll are the answer instead of Lambert and Rodriguez? What has the last couple of years of their career looked like? Good job Hodgson thinks the right way, eh? Lallana and Shaw on plane, Rodriguez and Rickie on phone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint_Ash Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 The tempo has increased tenfold with lallana and Shaw on the pitch. I'd start lallana for the first game of the world cup instead of Wiltshire, offers more around the box.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Id take Kasper Schmeichel in the summer.... Out of contract too
mightysaints Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 I would drop Rooney. Just doesn't do it for England.
nta786 Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 I would drop Rooney. Just doesn't do it for England. Unless he gets injured, even he knows his position is given. I'd like to see him dropped top, but again, we all know it won't happen :/
LGTL Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 I would drop Rooney. Just doesn't do it for England. So would I. We try and play in spite of him.
S-Clarke Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Lallana is obviously going to the world cup, that's been clear for months. He should be an utter shoe in from the start though, just look how fluid we looked with him on the pitch. Shaw had a very assured debut too, looked confident and played above his age - as we've come to expect. For me, he has to go to the world cup. We won't win it, so just give the young lads a chance to experience a tournament like that. Cole has been there, done that, got the t-shirts. Sterling had a good match, as did Gerrard. The rest were pretty average though. Didn't quite get the point of the Milner sub.
Batman Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 shaw was miles better than cole. shaw is the future lallana surely will go. he looked like doing something with the ball nearly every time he has it lovely turn and chip for the goal
pap Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 That was awesome stuff from our boys. Both made a strong claim for spots on that plane. I've just got into sh!t with the scousers for shouting"Yes! Great assist, Ads!". Shaw looked a natural.
LGTL Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Stan Collymore gets it. If you follow him on Twitter you'll be enjoying it.
stknowle Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Our two lads were streets ahead of the two players they replaced and improved the whole team. FACT
sandwichsaint Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Johnson dismally shocking, Smalling's never been good enough, Wilshire so over-rated, Rooney may be better as an impact sub nowadays? I'd play: ................... Hart ................. Chambers ...... Jag .... Cahill ..... Shaw ..........Gerrard ...... Barry ............. ....... OXO .........AL ...............Sterling .............. Sturridge ................... Let's stick the four old farts in the middle and let the yoof have their head.
Smirking_Saint Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Boring game, Sterling played very well, Gerrard proved his quality again, Lallana looked excellent and Shaw added a lot Nice to see the young front three of Sterling, Sturridge and Welbeck aswell
Dark Munster Posted 5 March, 2014 Posted 5 March, 2014 Stan Collymore gets it. If you follow him on Twitter you'll be enjoying it. https://twitter.com/StanCollymore Top bloke!
