I swear this is against the Law because when buying a season ticket, you are entitled to your seat for every single home game?

Plus, I would much rather avoid the thrashing which Man U will receive at the hand of Man City lol if I was a united fan.

Why the furore? This has been in place for several years at Old Trafford. You buy a season ticket which includes all home league games but one of the conditions is that you have to buy all FA Cup and Champions League home games as well. You can opt out of the League Cup.

 

As a fan, you know you're going to have to pay for the additional tickets - the club can't charge up front as they don't know how long they'll be in the competition. I didn't hear too many fans complaining when they were guaranteed tickets for Champions League semi-finals.
