Saint Fan CaM Posted 22 March, 2014 Share Posted 22 March, 2014 Like a lot of ohters on here,I can't go past this - Is there anyone out there who doesn't like it? Never liked the collar pattern or the sleeve ends. Otherwise sweet.
Real-Saints-Wear-Stripes Posted 22 March, 2014 Share Posted 22 March, 2014 RED & WHITE STRIPES, nothing else will do. The example posted by Sebastian Firefly will do perfectly.
doggface Posted 22 March, 2014 Share Posted 22 March, 2014 Stoke didn't end their deal with Adidas, their 4 year contract finishes this summer. We still have a deal in place with Adidas (can't remember but I think it was 3 years?). Saints never released details on length of deal just said it was 'long term' which is subjective IMO. I tried to find out more but at the time club would not comment. no idea if we are canning adidas as rumoured. Reading between the lines, the sounds are adidas again and all red shirt. One reuters journalist and saints fan Ossian shine, tweeted stripes will be back in 2015 but not next season as already signed off. Take it with a pinch of salt, but could be true. Matthew Le God Posted 25 March, 2014 Share Posted 25 March, 2014 Even if we go back to stripes we won't look identical to Stoke next season, as they are moving from Adidas to Warrior. And here they are...

Saint Billy Posted 25 March, 2014 Share Posted 25 March, 2014 If we have stripes back I do hope we go more for a modern type kit rather than one from the 1930's as some of ours have tended to look.
Mase Posted 26 March, 2014 Share Posted 26 March, 2014 Nike are where it's at. As far as red and white stripes go, that's perfection IMO. Turn it Rank Xerox and, well, don't blame me for the mess. Perfection!

The Kraken Posted 26 March, 2014 Share Posted 26 March, 2014 If we do have stripes next season, it would be nice to avoid what we've done in recent years and Warrior have done with Stoke's kit this season in plastering a f*ck off panelled sponsors label across the front. It just looks so absolutely dreadful. Especially when in recent years we did this and the panel was cream coloured so didn't even match the white of the shirt. it can't be too much to ask, surely? DatSaint Posted 26 March, 2014 Share Posted 26 March, 2014 The Nike shirt looks awesome, I am also pretty fond of the kit we used last season. It sorts of differs us from the other teams like Stoke and Sunderland. The kit we are using this year is dreadfull. I'm hoping for a kit similar to the last season, which hopefully wil put an end to all the people coming up to me in training and asking me if I'm a Sunderland fan. Just how stupid are the people you train with that they can't distinguish between two team's shirts, even after approaching you for a closer look? And just how many of these idiots do you actually train with? Or do you hide the badge and sponsor to deliberately confuse them.

Haven't actually been asked that question for a while. But when we where down in the Championship and League One people around here wouldn't recognise the badge and because of the stripes they would assume it was a Stoke or Sunderland shirt. Then I'd suggest Saints need to reclaim our place as the most famous red and white stripes in football. Sunderland getting relegated would aid that. And no-one likes Stoke anyway so they shouldn't count.

Fowllyd Posted 28 March, 2014 Share Posted 28 March, 2014 Maybe we should try spots for a change. We'd look like either a team of oversized jockeys or shockingly unfit King of the Mountains winners. St Jim Posted 29 March, 2014 Share Posted 29 March, 2014 sash not unique ajax well ajax where it duh But they dont wear it in the English league. The Ajax style (including the reverse a la the Rank Xerox style) a sash and even halves are either unique or rare in the English league and are unique in the epl. Stripes however are worn by many. Restark19 Posted 29 March, 2014 Share Posted 29 March, 2014 I think I must be the only one who really doesn't like the sash kit. can't put my finger on what it is i don't like exactly though, (the collar is definitely part of the issue though)

Badger Posted 30 March, 2014 Share Posted 30 March, 2014 I really think that Adidas kits are sh1t. So many better options. Are you referring to designs or quality ? If designs, them I don't totally agree with you. Although our template is crap other clubs have had conventional stripes from Adidas - Hull for one spring to mind - and if this had been selected in red/white stripes very few would complain. Then of course there is this: as many have said, just reverse the red and white !
