No (This is second hand) it was all boxed up. I asked him why he didn't sneak a peak, but he said it would cost him his job.

Okay that's fair enough. Another thing I thought about though was in previous years around this time the players had already modeled it, remember Billy Sharp tweeting about the 12/13 kit being 'different' or something.. what with players on world cup duty this year you'd assume they'd already done that

Don't mind that at all. Throw the monochrome badge on it, and the sponsor logo. Kind of suit their style too, given they seem to make a lot of classy looking black gadgets.

I know that if I was in a team that currently had no manager and there were reports linking all our best players away then the first thing I would want to hear about and see to would be the kit! It's all well and good having a great squad around you and the prospect of a top manager coming in, but boy, I just want to know if I'd look good in the new kit, otherwise - I'm off!

As a noted "plain red" hater, I would like it known that having stripes is not all that matters. I would very much prefer the club to play in stripes (or permanently switch to the sash if they want a unique branding), but having put up with it for 2 years, I have to admit I can probably be bought off with an entertaining and relatively successful team.

 

Of course, the first sign of failure and "not having stripes" will be used as a sign that the owners don't understand the club and a stick to beat them with, but that probably won't be me, either.

For what it's worth, my post didn't say that you had inferred that. (Nice word by the way, I'm amazed you've had time to thumb through the dictionary for that in between all the nonsense you've been posting lately! Shame it couldn't help you see there was no 'illiteracy' in my post.)

 

My point was that the kit probably isn't something that the players will 'rally round' over, but the prospect of some good incoming players and a high quality manager might be more an important factor in pushing on.

I have the RCDE li-ning Espanyol kit as featured above. Its very nice, but I am selling it. Worn about tour times. Perfect condition. Purchased in Barcelona from Club Shop.
