Is Katarina becoming a football fan ?

....after all the threads claiming that Katarina Liebherr " isn't football ".... (lets hop over the gender question).....and then appointed herself Chairman /Owner, she does seem to be taking a very personal interest in what was for her (previously) ...very strange territory.

TV cameras have picked her out in the stands watching several of Saints' recent games and she really does seem to be taking things seriously....even if a few of the results have been disappointing.

Her recent appointment of Ralph Krueger, a masterful " encourager " and world class motivator, was her personal choice and it remains to be seen what other surprises she will spring on us soon.....?

One thing seems fairly certain though.....it doesn't look as though she will sell-off the club in the near future, (as many of the " Jonah's " on here have been predicting), and seems to be honouring her late father's wishes and is showing increasing interest, at a time when it would surely have been much easier to sell-up and get out.

Need to be careful posting something positive David.

The usual d*ckheads will be all over this like fly's around a piece of sh*t.

David just because she is showing some interest in us doesn't mean she isn't going to sell. If you were thinking of selling the family silver presumably you would give it a good polish beforehand?

We will soon know when we see what funds are available in the summer or even before that if Pochettino walks at the season's end.

If you were going to use the family silver, you may just polish it too.

I heard a comment at the weekend made by the Port of Southampton Ambassador, that on the back of their raised profile through owning Southampton. The Liebherrs have made an additional £400m worth of business world wide, since the takeover.

Which Liebherrs ? I hope she's taxing her uncles, aunts and cousins for some of that newly created moolah then. You'd think they could bung us a few million £ in shirt sponsorship in that case wouldn't you. One branch of the family buys the club another gets most of the profit..doesn't seem right really.

PL club ownership certainly takes you onto the global stage (even if your firm was international in the first place). Completely different examples, but I had never heard of Tony Fernandes (and his extremely murky background), Vincent Tan or the chicken farmers Venkys prior to their PL ownership!

If SFC is good value for the Liebherr brand, brilliant.

FF in my opinion the game is now way beyond anything other than the style of ownership we have, and it will be a USA style sport with all the marketing sh*te to boot in the future. The other options for traditionalists is to look towards the skates for an alternative. For true fan owned and run, if thats what you want, Eastleigh will provide that, give them a five figure sum in sponsorship and you could probably ask for a directorship too?!

KL going to WHU away was a great sign for me.

Auntie Ethel once got told off by an expert on the Antiques Roadshow for polishing her silverware because it can actually cause damage and buyers prefer to do their own cleaning and restoration.

You're right there Ottery, can't wait until she sells up and pushes off. I have no confidence in her whatsover.

Far too opaque for a simple being like me, I like to know where things stand.

I spoke to Pastor/110% the other day:rolleyes:

He spoke with a Pompey/Glaswegian accent........or was that Sanchez:D

I digress:p

Anyway he stated you would hold the fort until his return :p

No idea what you're on about there really, I have no confidence in this owner to continue pushing the club upwards in the manner that I'd like, it's a personal thing, I've probably no base reason for it but the fact that the situation is so veiled peturbs me. I like Cortese's drive and ambition, the fact that his departure is surrounded in mystery fuelled by quarter truths and vague promises does not reassure me in any way. I've no time for Ice Hockey coaches cum personal motivators and obscure

Austrian player's agents. If we seemed to be advancing on the CEO front I might be more optimistic but that seems to have been put into abeyance.

I never read more speculation in a opening post.

All I know is she got wasted after the Sunderland game, I mean proper c#nted, that's got to be a good sign.

You complain of speculative waffle and then make a comment that is not only ridiculously speculative but also personally libellous. Take care my friend of what you write, there are plenty of lawyers reading the internet these days.

Who needed a motivator when NC was here?

Perhaps this bloke costs less and isn't anywhere near as exigent on transfer fees. When we know what he's supposed to do we'll have a better idea, we can but wait. Perhaps KL wanted to shove him into our set-up all along, well since last summer and NC was having none of that so he got a Malky McKay choice.

presenting your employer with an ultimatum, and saying - or else ! ... isn't the same as " getting the sack" in my book. It's like bluffing in poker....and losing.

I'm still not sure whether (he thought) he was the King ...or the Joker.

You obviously didn't realise what a Malky McKay choice was then, was he not told to resign or be sacked by Tan?

Did she use somebody's numbers on here?

Can't believe she had enough points herself.

Fair points and yes her being at the home of the Hammers is good news. I hope she liked the jellied eels etc. I think all of us would feel comfortable if she remained our owner and was prepared to maintain the financial commitment. Like I said MP's actions in the summer will be the first clue.
