Pretty much sums us up at the moment, nobody wide creating or scoring, Nobody up front looks like they could hit a barn door with a banjo.

BWP whilst not being a natural winger has nevertheless done fairly well, scoring 3 goals from there.

For the rest 2 strikers and nobody playing wide right, Zilch.

The management have to get tough and sort them out. It seems a bit like the story of the Emperor's new clothes. Everybody can see it but nothing is done.

Agreed. Derry seems to be somewhat obsessed with the wide right position.

If you were interested in us winning and not being relegated so would you be. The lob sided lack of a right midfield will get us relegated, unless something is done about it.

The one bright note, just seen it on Sky, Stoke in for Lallana and Surman. If Lallana goes, it will solve the problem. He is hardly contributing anything to the side at the moment. Besides we need the money.

This problem is the main reason we can't break teams down at home. Not playing Lallana wide would improve the teams balance.

Not Jan's fault Holmes got injured. His fault for not playing Skacel or Surman wide left though.

Would help a lot have the width, but we'll struggle with no striker and Lallana not contributing any goals.

Can Lloyd James play up front instead, afterall, we thought Kevin Phillips was a right back too.

Until Holmes comes back, when BWP could swop over, either James or Gillett could give us the width and balance we don't have.

1) It's lopsided not lobsided

2) We were lopsided when Holmes was playing as all the wing play was going down his side. This wasn't a problem of course as he's a good winger. The problem we presently have is not down to being lopsided. It's down to not playing any decent wingers on either wing.

And what is the basis for that little outburst. Dear oh dear.

The point is that this topic has / is being debated extensively on other threads and as has been suggested this is duplicating those. If you think Lallana going is good news then you really don't understand football.

It's down to nobody playing down the right, in front of the fullback. Besides, we don't have any decent wingers, it's not that James and Gillett are not wingers, it's that they will fill that position and probably could do the job that is not being done at the moment.

After reading the title, I assumed this was a thread about McGoldrick.

He along with Robertson are the headless chickens whilst Lallana is the wingless right.

Hate to say it, but maybe getting Dyer back when Holmes is back would solve you little problem. Saying that I don't really want him back, and although BWP goes missing at times he has come back determined and scored some goals, something heavily missin at the moment.

Lallana has talent, it's just being wasted at the moment. He has been pretty ineffective. He could be successful if he played wide properly.

He has been told to cut back on running all over the place and try and get into space that will hurt the opposition, privately, by a senior coach. That obviously didn't work.

He is being played out of his favourite position, as he isn't able to command a regular place as the support striker. Either he has to nail down a regular successful starting position or he will be on the bench when Holmes is fit.

That, if it happens could lead him to decide to go and play in, maybe Stoke's reserves. I don't want any of our young players to go, but the present shape of the team will hurt us.

The way he is playing is causing us major problems on our right side. Putting that right now is more important than keeping Lallana. Ideally I would like him to take the advice he was given and solve the problem himself.

It might have been his fault that Dyer was loaned out weeks after signing new contract?

James looks better going forward than in defence so might be worth a try right wing.

Even with 2 wingers we still ned a centre forward in the box who can score.
