Lallana and Shaw seem to be putting a shift in Rickie's been dreadful and very slow

Rickie is same as normal he has always been slow why people suddenly expect him to become a pacy forward I have no idea.

He's gone backwards this year, I'm not sure he will make it if I'm honest, he's not strong enough and doesn't get nearly involved enough, not just here he was dreadful away at Chelsea and Newcastle as well

Yes we were just saying the same thing.....

Just goes to show again that our strength in depth just isn't there. Out side of the first 11 there is very little to call on....

Quite a clear out still required .....

I fear that the FA Cup is going to drift us by. I have been in such a good mood singing Wemley songs to myself, now it has all gone wrong!

I feel your pain. It's not just drifting away though, it is being thrown away.

To all who are whinging about the team selection, theres this thing called periodization. When you push your body to max, it needs time to recover. When you dont give it enough time to recover you can get 'overtrained', and as our high pressing game means the players have to be incredibly fit, its likely some players will be nearing that. When overtrained, you become more injury prone, have low energy levels and feel weak. So making all these changes is necessary for the players fitness levels.

I bet if this was a league game our strongest 11 would be on the pitch periodization or not

Ooops.... 1-0

Cue the vitriolic rants

That will be from the happier ones trying to justify a failing position, the realistic ones knew like the other Cup if we lose would have deserved it, ah well our players will have been rested.

Why not rest players on Sat then against West Ham, both teams are all but safe

So you think we would have played this side if it had been a league game?

No i think you`ll find its your utter crap mate...

Just be honest about you wish for us to fail and you may get some respect on here..

The good thing if we lose today is that the pragmatists amongst us get a break from the forum for a few days

What is there to be pragmatic about? You seem to hold yourself in such high regard, but what are you actually being pragmatic about?

No one is trying to justify it, just not repeatedly grizzling about it

We don't look like scoring do we?

God I f*cking hate Pochettino right now

Well I'm glad Lawrie Mac thought our pro's were fit enough to withstand the earlier rounds back in 76 to go on and win the FA cup .

He's tedious and frustrating, but you're being just as bad today. I've not yet seen your opinion on anything.

No idea mate. I just talk nonsense on here. Probably best to ignore me. I know I would if I had to read my own drivel.

It's got 2-0 written all over it now. I'd take a single attack for saints but doesn't look likely, no drive or desire it seems. Would poch take a replay? I know I would, but not convinced he'd want it

If you clap like before they may make it through, they need you Adrian.

It's not as if u can blame Mp. The team we have out now is far more full strength than their team.

The team we started with was 'more full strength' than Sunderland as well

Let's not forget that JWP didn't have any break last summer and chose to play. Sadly it's caught up with him and we get to see the result of not taking a break to sharpen up his game. Be a huge mistake for anyone to write him off. He'll be back and stronger than ever.

That's probably the best thing I've ever seen you post, to be fair. Self deprecation :toppa: (I count myself in the same bracket, just to be clear.)
