OldNick Posted 12 February, 2014 Share Posted 12 February, 2014 Another if only, but if we had a team of only current professional footballs that came through our academies it would be pretty decent.Especially on the attacking front. I'm sure there are others who could fit in cropper Chambers Shaw Mills Lancashire Gillette Lallana Bale Chamberlayne McGoldrick Walcott
Kingsland Red Posted 12 February, 2014 Share Posted 12 February, 2014 Nick , off the top of my head, put on the bench: Dyer, Bridge,Williamson, Surman,JWP, Joe/Matt Mills (which ever you didn't select).
Matthew Le God Posted 12 February, 2014 Share Posted 12 February, 2014 cropper Cody Cropper doesn't count as he joined Saints aged 19.
Matthew Le God Posted 12 February, 2014 Share Posted 12 February, 2014 Gillette McGoldrick I'd have Ward-Prowse over Gillett and Gallagher over McGoldrick.

Matthew Le God Posted 12 February, 2014 Share Posted 12 February, 2014 Chris Baird? Yep, he should be in Nick's team instead of Oliver Lancashire.

OldNick Posted 13 February, 2014 Author Share Posted 13 February, 2014 I'd have Ward-Prowse over Gillett and Gallagher over McGoldrick.yep i forgot about Ward Prowse!! he would of course be ahead of Gillette We certainly have been good at bringing through attack minded players but as for keepers and C/B's! Matthew Le God Posted 13 February, 2014 Share Posted 13 February, 2014 There's no keeper of league standard sadly, and CBs are lacking. Strikers too so Gallagher can have a go! Chambers Williamson Baird Shaw JWP Surman Lallana Chamberlain Bale Walcott With that attack it'd stay up in the Premier league, brilliant wide team, but a sh1te defence. Williamson doesn't really count as an academy product, he joined aged 18. Poke is a Saints academy graduate keeper playing league football (for Torquay United). What a rollercoaster it'd be with that line up! We'd see a lot of goals at both ends. The "you score 4, we'll score 5 approach"
