If Fonte is out could Wanyama play in central defence and Cork midfield ? I would rather have Wanyama there than the Hooverman.

Hooiveld and Yoshida were our first choice for much of last season. He will be fine with Shaw or Clyne / Chambers alongside.

I hope we rip them apart in the nicest possible way and

beat them and not go 2-0 up and draw in the end and

am going either a 1-0 Saints or 2-1 Saints tomorrow but

we'l see!

Also I hope the Saints fans going do us proud and sing

loud and proud too as well!

COYR!!! :D

My team:

Clyne Hooiveld Yoshida Targett

Ward-Prowse Wanyama Cork Lallana

Rodriguez Guly

Apart from Hooiveld, Targett, JWP, Wanyama, Guly, oh and not playing a goalie, I agree 100%.

Good luck and be safe to anyone travelling up to the game today.

Watching Sky News this morning it seems insane that anyone could even get out of the South, certainly by train!

Judging by the size and colour of fontes "flesh wound" i think that its unlikely he will play today. I think its going to be jos and maya myself....but there could be a small outside chance of a surprise centre back if mopo wants to try out Bigvjc there...

No point risking Jos for a Cup tie.

If I was going I would be going on Friday night.

getting more confident with their predicted line up and Poyet's comments. 5/4 looks outstanding vlaue

But I'm a little less confident with our predicted line up if it includes KD & Hooiveld.

Hooiveld isn't the liability many on here make him out to be. Hooiveld and Fox is the problem, Fox is gone.

He played in last season's wins against Man City and Chelsea amongst others. We've put in a few decent defensive displays with him in the team.

Jos more worrying than Fox imo, Jos worried me even in the Championship. Fairly confident we would have drawn with Spurs this year if not for Hooiveld, and would have had a better points tally come the end of last season if he wasn't so insistent on scoring at the wrong end.

That was last season, this season he has become a liability, although not as much as Fox was. Part of the problem is that it will also force Yoshida to play right, he is much better on the left, Jos cannot play right side, so everyone else has to make way.

Newcastle away, Spurs at home. Woeful in both.

So woeful he made one mistake and we drew 1-1 away to (what was) a very good Newcastle side. He did very little else wrong that game, he wasn't woeful.

Spurs at home; I told you, Hooiveld AND Fox (and Gazza FWIW)

Apologies if this has been already posted but for some reason my basic Virgin package is including BT sport today so I can watch the game. Hopefully it's same for everyone. :)

Hope both performance and result justify this selection.

But initial view is that this is an inexcusably poor team given our league postion etc.
