SNSUN Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 A win's a win. Good 3 points! Man Utd, we're coming for you!
bazza Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Cracking result. Well deserved. Bring on Sunderland.
adrian lord Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Superb. We are better away than at home this season.
SaintSteve Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great result.. we are a strong away team these days
Leicestersaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Well we should have won about 5-0 but the number of chances we squander does worry me. I expected to win and the boys didn't let us down! Well done Saints!
Mr Saints Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Can this team win on a cold Tuesday night at Hull? Yes.
Greenridge Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Top banana Changed your tune. What about some more slagging off of Guly. Prat.
Batman Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great result away to a good side Played well Davis my MoM with shouts to Yoshida and Fonte Lambert was poor Rodriguez frustrating boruc commanding I also believe that Chambers is better than clyne at the mo, great to have two very good right backs
Pastor Patrón Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Superb win, hope it gives them the confidence to go trounce Sunderland
jasonb Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Fonte's record of us not losing when he has scored ...CONTINUES!!!
Beckenham Saint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Saints are only 2 points behind Man United in the Premier League with 12 games to go. I never thought I would say that...
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Really professional away job, in my opinion. We were always the better side on the ball, but we were lacking that killer touch in the final third for most of the match. Even the goal it's self took a few attempts! Bit of a frustrating performance from Lambo and Lallana, but I thought the midfield of Davis, Cork and Morgan bossed it and didn't allow Huddlestone to get on the ball - as he can dictate it if given the chance. Good result at a tough place to go, got to be happy with that.
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 A wet and cold Tuesday night hundreds of miles away???? Thank you very much! Years gone by I'd be expecting a loss.... Not any more!
davefoggy Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 how we havent won that 4 or 5-0 i will never know!! Hull a decent side though and Boruc had a couple of decent saves to make. Jay Rod never stopped running, Jack Cork...can NOT leave him out of the side..but for me Chambers is as good if not better than Shaw. Great cross that lead to the goal. Overall, top result!
CB Saint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Good result that. Fair play to hull, they made a game of it
Whitey Grandad Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Nice! Looking up now instead of drifting.
Greenridge Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 AWESOME...!!! We safe yet...?!?! ;o) Nope. We are sleepwalking to relegation.
Andy Durman Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Any one of the back four MOM take your pick. Some solid performances and a great away win.
Cascadia Saint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great result, so close to being a hammering by us. Thought Rodriguez and Lambert looked great, and Maya Yoshida was awesome tonight. Here's to Man Utd losing tomorrow. COYRS!!!!
St Marco Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great result for us, gives us confidence going into the cup game. What will make it better is if Sunderland get a red and a few injuries, and Man Utd get abused by Arsenal tomorrow. Sha la la
jasonb Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Who used to post a pic of a peach after a victory?? I think that needs resurrecting.
miserableoldgit Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 What were the possession stats for that?? Saw something like 78/22 at one point!!
saint lard Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Bloody marvellous result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint-Armstrong Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Southampton's away record: Won - 5 Drawn - 4 Losses - 4
doc oli Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great win. Very solid performance. By far the better team. Onwards and upwards- watch out United, you're next.
davefoggy Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 forgot to mention Steven Davis, unsung hero for us this season
Minty Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Sometimes a bit of belief can go a long way. We should've scored more, but we ground out a result at one of the hardest places to do so. Excellent result lads, well done.
eelpie Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Great result! Now bring on Sunderland! And West Ham!
Olallana Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Davis MOTM followed by Yoshida in my book.
pangy Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Davis easily MOM for me,big shouts to Yosh/Fonte like most I always thought Yosh was a liability but he has really steped his game up this season. Really pleased MP stuck with Cork again,he very rarely has a poor game and it would of been fantastic for him to score a worldy tonight
Saints foreva Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Hopefully we have our shooting boots on for Saturday.
SNSUN Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 AWESOME...!!! We safe yet...?!?! ;o) 11 points clear of West Ham and Villa, which is the start of the bottom of the pack. Cool runnings. West Ham have really turned their form around, fair play.
ottery st mary Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 63% to Saints.. Well played you mighty Saints. Yoshida Davis Chambers and the rest of you lovely Saints. COYS
musesaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Cracking result. Well deserved. Bring on Sunderland. As long as they don't kill two more of our players! Haha
Edmonton Saint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Not been his biggest fan, but Yoshida was my man of the match today. Played very well I thought.
saint lard Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Southampton's away record: Won - 5 Drawn - 4 Losses - 4 That really isn't shabby at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Ah yes, also a very big plus to Yoshida. He's come back from the wilderness and has put in some very astute displays. Kept Long and Jelavic quiet most of the night (Jelavic is pretty horrific mind)
kwsaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Who used to post a pic of a peach after a victory?? I think that needs resurrecting.
Charlie Wayman Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 We only win 1-0! 1 point from safety, phew.
Dalek2003 Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Nope. We are sleepwalking to relegation. Oh well, another thing I have got wrong.
