S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Frustrating game so far, easily the better side, but let down by Rickie in that first half. Usually so reliable in those areas (he keeps killing our attacks by giving the ball away too, again, very unlike him). Cork and Morgan have been pretty solid, Rodriguez hit and miss. But we're the better side, it's been a good half, but you just worry we haven't scored when we needed to. Hull are easily a stronger side now, what with the substitution of Mcshane, which is a bit disappointing.
Coxford_lou Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 My boyfriend's penis is more miserable.
St Chalet Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Look good up until the forward line when we just look clueless. The word is clearly out that if you organise well against us we will struggle to break you down. Lack of attacking options on the bench a concern.
Batman Posted 11 February, 2014 Author Posted 11 February, 2014 Still getting over that miss from Lambert. My girlfriend's vagina would have scored that. I assumed it went in (on my dodgy stream) as the ball bounced back onto the pitch. quickly realised he fluffed it and it hit the pole behind the goal you have to put those away really
Scoobysaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 A bit disappointing but overall we controlled everything pretty well. Rickie has missed a couple of sitters and has subsequently been trying for the wonderpass to make up for it, but has been giving it away. I like the way we keep possession but it could do with being a little more rapid at times. When we counter attack lets fully commit to it, after all we are leaving pretty much 2 V 2 at the back anyway. I want to see them charging up the field in numbers!!!
Leicestersaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Given we seem to be going for the longer ball into the box tonight (for some reason) I'm thinking JWP might be a better option than Davis. Yes I agree - the chips into the box are so predictable and easily headed out. JWP is worth a try.
adrian lord Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Poch will sort it out at half-time, and we will be rampant.
Killers Knee Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 must have a dodgy stream as I swear i've seen this match before, its the one where we dominate possession in the 2nd half, have twice the shots but score the same amount as the opposition, yep, deffo seen it before.....
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Is it me or is Davis playing a slightly different role tonight?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 So the scapegoat so far is Lambert but it could all change on here as the fickleness has no limits
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 0-0 at Hull not a bad score line. Not an easy place to go. Let's nick this one.
mulletsaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Good night for anyone with a 5-4-1 formation in their fantasy team.
Red Alert Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Poch will sort it out at half-time, and we will be rampant. We need to be. We have the ability and fitness to ramp it up on this level so far. Really would like to see Gaston back with a run in the team without a lot of pressure on I think he would be the player to mix things around a bit.
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 So the scapegoat so far is Lambert but it could all change on here as the fickleness has no limits Lambert still odds on favourite to get the winner/first goal.
slickmick Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Hull using the width and getting more crosses into the box than us. Law of averages will favour them more than us, unless things change.
SaintSteve Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Lambert misses may prove very costly as Hull have come more into the game as the half wore on..better game than the 0-0 scoreline suggests. We still appear to be in neutral.. need a second half a la Fulham game to make the difference here
Monk Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Davis dropping much deeper than usual. Really disappointed that we are not shooting more from outside the area instead of the forced killer ball. Rodriguez's shot was a prime example. Harper is 40, time to challenge his shot stopping.
Jonnyboy Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 My boyfriend's penis is more miserable. Get on it Louise, do you duty for Saints!
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Do you think Chelsea fans are in meltdown being 0-0 at WBA?
SNSUN Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Echoes of the Fulham game here. 0-3 Saints final score :-D Let's be positive!
Olallana Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Hull has only lost three times at home out of 12.....granted one of those was against Man United but still....
Pudge Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 I think the boys will play better in the second half and nick out 2 goals.
mitch01 Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Lallana strangely quiet. I think we will win.
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 I loved the last time we played there, was it not 2 second half goals?
mcjwills Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 My stream has changed to the WetSham game ?
Coxford_lou Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Get on it Louise, do you duty for Saints! Why stick up for him? I'm the Saints supporter. Be an idea if you miserable lot supported them too...
Roger Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Frustrating game so far, easily the better side, but let down by Rickie in that first half. He's done a lot if good things, if anyone has killed attacks so far it's lallana.
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Lallana strangely quiet. I think we will win. I'd describe him as a bit fluffy tonight, needs to show himself a bit more. Floating around but not influencing things.
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Do you think Chelsea fans are in meltdown being 0-0 at WBA? I don't as they scored just on the break!
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 I'd describe him as a bit fluffy tonight, needs to show himself a bit more. Floating around but not influencing things. He was a bit off on Saturday as well.
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 He was a bit off on Saturday as well. Totally agree, one of his worst performances at the weekend.
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 It's games like tonight whereby it would be nice to be able to change it....Hull are playing well, closing and pressing hard. It's almost impossible for us to play though the middle, but we just have no real width tonight - Chambers hasn't been able to get in the game on the right.
trousers Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 WTF was that from jrd? Confidence and belief
eelpie Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Totally agree, one of his worst performances at the weekend. Rubbish
Dr Who? Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Totally agree, one of his worst performances at the weekend. But most players have a bad spell and he has had a fantastic season so far (apart from Saturday and today)
CalneSaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Guly on for Lambo as he has been fairly ineffective
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 See, bit more width in the game and it's all so different.
S-Clarke Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Jack really needs a goal. Was totally caught in 2 minds there, his lack of goals probably playing on his mind.
Leicestersaint Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Why won't they shoot at the goal! JRod can be so frustrating!
