Saint in Paradise Posted 8 February, 2014 Posted 8 February, 2014 A 25-year-old football fan has been charged after pages were torn from the Quran and thrown during a match. The incident occurred during the Birmingham City and Middlesbrough game at St Andrew's on December 7. West Midlands Police said they had today charged Mark Stephenson with causing racial or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/02/08/mark-stephenson-charged-tearing-pages-quran-football-_n_4751425.html How utterly pathetic but if the authorities want to provoke trouble this sure is the way to go. :mcinnes:
Manuel Posted 8 February, 2014 Posted 8 February, 2014 I'm not sure whether it's the unnecessary disrespect to religion or the littering I dislike the most.

Batman Posted 8 February, 2014 Posted 8 February, 2014 he is clearly a **** and it was pre meditated nobbery
Hockey_saint Posted 8 February, 2014 Posted 8 February, 2014 The way I see it, Islam is what? 610 years younger than Christianity....what would the religious Christians have done 610 years ago if we ripped up a bible....BBQ time methinks. Either way, the guy sounds like a proper knobber.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 8 February, 2014 Posted 8 February, 2014 Not pathetic at all. Man displays racial or religiously aggravated harassment, that could cause alarm or distress. Man gets charged, man gets tried, man gets found guilty. You'd probably be foaming at the mouth if an offended person stepped up, gave him a swift slap and didn't get arrested for it. The law works both ways.

KelvinsRightGlove Posted 11 February, 2014 Posted 11 February, 2014 Wow, someone really has some issues with Islam don't they. Crikey.
