JoeShmoe Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 be fair, he has been awful so far As was Cork in his first game of the season - give him a chance to get match fit and match sharp. He needs game time as did Cork, Maya etc after not playing Lambert worries me more, his lack of movement really hurts us
DuncanRG Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Come on Jay, one of these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wiggles31 Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 We don't create enough. Need a better player in the Davis role. Can't understand why he dropped Cork. Makes no sense?!
mulletsaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 If we were going to start with VW we should have dropped Davis and used VW and Cork as the double pivot and shoved Schneiderlin further up.
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 pathetic how people turn on players.. Nobody is turning on anybody FFS. Wanyama has been out for 2 months and looks rusty. He doesn't have his usual physical presence in CM and is now in a yellow which will restrict his usefulness further. Cork has been in excellent form recently so making that switch seems like a no-brainer.
OttawaSaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Can foresee a lot of "we dominated but drew" and "dominated but lost" posts for the rest of the season. We don't have many options up front...
stug76 Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 be fair, he has been awful so far Be fair, first game back after a long lay off. Pretty tepid affair so far, Shaw getting forward well and that's about it. Take 0-0 at half time and push on in the second half.
melmacian_saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 We don't create enough. Need a better player in the Davis role. Can't understand why he dropped Cork. Makes no sense?! We do create enough. It's just that Rodriguez needs 300 chances to score once.
Dr Who? Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 We can still win this, as they are pretty poor.
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 J-Rod missing a couple of good chances. Neither of them were exactly sitters. Give the guy a break.
laughba Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 With Wanyama in the team, the fluidity is a lot worse.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 give it a rest mate says the most repetitive wum on the forum... Look "mate" when you stop your stupid wind up drivel i will stop challenging you
Batman Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 that was an awful game of football lots of possession only a threat from shaw or lallana wanyam utterly awful boruc very good morgan good lambert very static jrod missing chances

skintsaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Got a bad feeling on this one, set piece winner or something.
obelisk Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Nothing much going right for J-Rod so far. At this rate he'd more likely to get sent off than to score.
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 says the most repetitive wum on the forum... Look "mate" when you stop your stupid wind up drivel i will stop challenging you You could just put him on ignore and stop quoting him so that the rest of us don't have to see his tedious bullsh*t.
Ohio Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 says the most repetitive wum on the forum... Look "mate" when you stop your stupid wind up drivel i will stop challenging you WUM versus WUM. I hope it's a deathmatch
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 that was an awful game of football lots of possession only a threat from shaw or lallana wanyam utterly awful boruc very good morgan good lambert very static jrod missing chances Agree with most of that but Wanayama has not been awful not great i agree and morgan has done very little too
Dr. Kucho Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Need a strong half time talk from Pochetino, we havent been poor, but can also play a lot better!
S-Clarke Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Well I hope the 2nd half is better, as that was a complete non-event of a football match. What a load of tosh from both sides.
NewYorkSaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Cork on for Vic at HT... Bring on Gallagher at 65 mins. Give JRod a Red Bull. Just not clicking.
Roger Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Merson off air: "But then again, I am a total plank" that was an awful game of football lots of possession only a threat from shaw or lallana wanyam utterly awful boruc very good morgan good lambert very static jrod missing chances Morgan is rubbish today.
JoeShmoe Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 With Wanyama in the team, the fluidity is a lot worse. We had 65% of posession in the first half. We just need to settle a bit, as we are clearly a lot better than them. They cant play much better but we certainly can
Edmonton Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Dire half to be fair. Boruc keeping us in it. Far top much sloppy passing, far too many passengers at present. Only saving grace is that it's 0-0 and surely we can't play that bad again 2nd half..
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 You could just put him on ignore and stop quoting him so that the rest of us don't have to see his tedious bullsh*t. tried that but quotes like you say show him up... it really is time something is done about the nob
Rasiak-9- Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Rickie Lambert has once again proved immobile and disappointing. The ball doesn't even seem to stick up front aside from the fact that we have no pacy outlet. We're crying out for a left-footed left winger.
Webby Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Before, it wasn't a case of a rusty Cork vs a match fit Wanyama. Wanyama was injured so had to be replaced, but this time Cork has been playing well. Why replace him with a rusty Wanyama? Give Wanyama 20 mins here and there to ease him back in.
Bewildered Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Good: Boruc OK: Lallana ****e: everyone else
Leicestersaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Very disappointing - lots of our team are having a bad day. The ball is up in the air too much - where is the composed passing we saw on Tuesday? Hopefully the second half will be better. I would bring Cork on.
S-Clarke Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 that was an awful game of football lots of possession only a threat from shaw or lallana wanyam utterly awful boruc very good morgan good lambert very static jrod missing chances Wanyama was the better of the 2, although is a bit rusty. Morgan has been shocking today, looks like he's half asleep. I think our final third performance has been a non-event, keeping enough of the ball, but in areas whereby there is no threat.
Wes Tender Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Get Wanyama off. We can't afford to lose possession so frequently from his misplaced passes. Get Cork on and re-establish the Cork Schneiderlin partnership which is far more effective.

The ball doesn't even seem to stick up front aside from the fact that we have no pacy outlet. We're crying out for a left-footed left winger. Yeah, Rickie has been awful. Up against a rookie CB I'd hoped for a bit better, but he just looks so bad at the moment.

Lambert has been poor since October, Gallagher has to get on after 60 mins to pull their CB's about
Batman Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 65% possession for us. 1 shot on target very poor going forward if only we replaced osvaldo....oh
Window Cleaner Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Lambert has been poor since October, I thought that was supposed to be because he was sulking over Osvaldo...perhaps not then, perhaps he just has no pace and can't jump any more.
Hamilton Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 We've seen the bad so far; second half we'll get the good. Yes?!
Bewildered Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Morgan and Wanyama have been especially poor. Wanyama looks really rusty and Morgan looks like he can't be bothered..
S-Clarke Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 We've seen the bad so far; second half we'll get the good. Yes?! It can only get better!
WealdSaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Dire first half Why bring VW back when Cork is in such a rich vein of form? VW passing is so poor compared to Cork Jrod is at least getting into the right positions. RL has had a quite half but has provided a couple of chances for JRod that didn't come off. AL playing well, but not as influencual as he sometimes is. Boruc is making up for Arsenal away!
Batman Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 Yes because he was playing every week and banging in every other chance right? Absolute clown. no, a replacement might
Ohio Saint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 This one is up in the air. Really need to see something better in the second half.
skintsaint Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 no, a replacement might might not have though.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 February, 2014 Posted 1 February, 2014 hero to zero so far Wanyama... Lambert... Next...
