Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 (edited) 4.5 hours left!! If we could get one - defender or striker... What do you choose? What do we need / want more? CB or CF? Edited 31 January, 2014 by Glasgow_Saint
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 January, 2014 Author Share Posted 31 January, 2014 Edited it for you! Thought striker as Osvaldo leaving and Lambert is/was injured but the thought of Jos playing scares me alot! Now unsure where our priority should be
Barry Sanchez Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 If quality is added then in any position would suit me, the question is money and how much they would charge, rushed signings are rarely good.

We may have been working on something for a while. Maybe just waiting for other deals (Osvaldo) to be completed first. In answer to the question, another solid CB for me, just to get to pace and learn things ready for next season. However, I think our business is done already and dont expect to see anyone come in. EBS1980 Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 Forward is the greater need. Big ask for an 18yr old to be the back up to Ricky. No real competition for him for rest of the season. Just hope he doesn't get injured.

The Kraken Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 If RL gets injured then we're struggling. JRod just hasn't done it when playing up front, he's much better when playing from a slightly deeper position. And Gallagher, while full of promise, can't be relied upon to get us goals. So I'd say we need a striker. But won't get one, clearly.
Turkish Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 We won't be signing anyone. Kat clearly trusts MPs judgement and the current squad. Which is great to see. She hasn't got much wrong so far has she!

She hasn't got much wrong so far has she! Other than hire an under-qualified CEO + sell, loan, suspend and release players she hasnt done much at all. Not given us much clues towards her long term plans, the cynic in me still says we are for sale and she will do the very minimum possible until we are sold. Many would say cortese was under qualified when he joined us! She has protected the clubs reputation by casting out trouble makers brought in by he previous regime and sold, released or loaned players that were clogging up the wage bill and held here by the tyrannical nature of the previous chairman. She had allowed them to persue their careers elsewhere at their level whilst at the same time reducing their impact on the SFC payroll. Badger Posted 31 January, 2014 Share Posted 31 January, 2014 Other than hire an under-qualified CEO + sell, loan, suspend and release players she hasnt done much at all. . CEO - temporary sell/loan- players who were clearly surplus to our plans suspend - hardly surprising by all accounts, and something endorsed by, possibly at the instigation of both the playing squad and manager loan - see 'suspend' above if referring to Osvaldo, release - allow players to pursue a playing career elsewhere what is there to complain about ? Strikes me that you're complaining for the sake of it.

Not much Didnt commit in open letter Hasnt committed in press No players signed Wage bill significantly reduced All signs so far point to a pending sale? Dig Dig Posted 1 February, 2014 Share Posted 1 February, 2014 Only in your head, well and few others..to the rest a sensible business decision to get unrequired players of the wage bill In order to improve the balance sheet and make us as attractive as possible to a buyer. One of the reasons our CEO is an accountant and has done nothing so far. Has he even said anything publicly yet? He's too busy with the spreadsheets it seems. Killers Knee Posted 1 February, 2014 Share Posted 1 February, 2014 CB to replace/cover DL, then creative MF to replace/cover AL, then CF to replace/cover RL. All new purchases to be better than our best player in that position.
