Very dissappointing,

Desperately needed to replace Osvaldo and we're now relying on an 18 year old to deliver the goals if Rickie gets injured again. Could've also done with another CB in (as Hooiveld isn't upto it) and a LB as back up to Shaw.

What a great start to the new era eh? 'No one will be sold' my @rse

READ what he said ...... ONLY players he wants to leave will leave

Got it now ?

My opinion, for what it's worth

We are Ninth, with little prospect of getting any higher... so

Blood some Academy Kids. It's the only way to see if any (more) can make it in the Prem

THIS season, even if we had signed Messi, I doubt if we would make the Champions League

We may lose some "Stars" in the summer, if they want to chase European Football, but that's the chance ANY Prem team has to take by not finishing in thr Top Four

looks like it to me so much of 'no one will be sold'

3 out so far (ossie is clearly going) and none of any quality (at all) in only us and newcastle are weaker thus far.

I've seen this " misquote " a number of times. The first time being when we loaned out our sixth string keeper Will Britt to Bognor !

The "mis quote " was taken from a longer interview that was published just a day or so after Cortese's departure.....

and went along the lines of ..." no player in the squad ...whom Pochettino wanted to keep "

......otherwise why else would we want to keep players like Aaron Martin and Lee Barnard who aren't even in the 25 squad?

What I want to know is WHO is going to take " Jonno" Forte on loan tomorrow ?..he's the only one left of the " forgotten men ".

Makes sense to free up some wages. There are a few in the squad due a new deal. Cork only has 18 months left, as does Davis. Jay Rod is due contract discussions as he has made 45 starts (or something like that). A number of our young players will have contract accelerators in their deals where they earn more based on starts and / or after every year of their deal. It wouldn't be unusual to see Jay Rod and Lallana earn more because they've played for England, too.

With Osvaldo leaving as well, that will leave plenty in the pot for some summer moves for whomever is in charge. I think the club have done well, though personally I'd prefer to see another senior striker join.

Just think it's a dangerous precedent to set is all.

MP: 'We gonna get a new striker in to replace Dani Katharina?'

KL: 'Nah, we'll stick with the 18 year old, we'll comfortably be mid-table with him'

MP: 'But I thought we wanted to get into Europe?'

KL: 'Well we do eventually…..maybe'
