1-2 Regan Cook. Well worked goal for the Addicks. Albeit one that took a slight deflection as it was crossed in for their finish.

Make that 1-3.

Think we're going out.

At this level its more about individual players than the team. Won't lose sleep over this.

Exactly. The sign of a good youth set up isn't how well they do in their league and cups, it's how many players make it into the first team squad.

This is very true. We came close to winning it a while ago, but didn't. Yet that team still produced the likes of Dyer, Theo, Adam (I think), Bale was in and around it, Dexter, Craine..Mills....

Against that we are doing excellently.

2 seasons ago I watched us lose 5-1 to Forest in the Youth Cup at St Mary's with Shaw, Ward-Prowse and Chambers in the team. Saying that I was a little disappointed tonight. They were a bit stronger and more organised defensively and we struggled to create many clear cut chances. We missed having Gallagher up front because without him we don't have a striker comfortable with their back to goal who can bring others into the game.

On the positive side Niall Mason impressed again in midfield, he has a great range of passing and excellent touch. Debayo is strong, quick and good on the ball coming forward from centre back. Sims was lively and looks an exciting prospect.

Worth the admission fee alone to see the mad Charlton fan standing on his seat while celebrating their second goal and falling off.

Watched this earlier and really impressed with Sims and Debayo. Sims is only 16, he looks some prospect and if Debayo keeps working he wont be far off the first XI in a few years, looks better than Jos already!
