stevegrant Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Saturday lunchtime kickoff again. ****s sake.
S-Clarke Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Why on earth do they want to televise that? Odd.
View From The Top Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 FFS. I'll see how they price this before making my mind up.
The Kraken Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Why on earth do they want to televise that? Odd. They fancy Sunderland have a chance of causing a major upset.....??
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 They just don't give a flying **** about supporters do they
Saint86 Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Whats wrong about a lunctime kick off? Beats being stuck on a train platform at 3am surely?
Winchester Red Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 It'll be bt as itv have the 5.30pm game that day
100%Red&White Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Someone at BT Sports is having a right laugh at Saints fans. Hopefully Sunderland will now price it accordingly and if there's any 'Away Fans Fund' left after the lovely paint job for the visitors to SMS, maybe away travel could be subsidised.
warsash saint Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Time Saints dipped into the 'paint fund' & pay for travel for 5,000 to make the trip.
Mikey88 Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Sunderland have announced that all their tickets will be £15 for adults and £5 for kids. Will that be the same for us?
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Sunderland have announced that all their tickets will be £15 for adults and £5 for kids. Will that be the same for us? It should be. Get Saints to chuck in free travel and lets take the full allocation up there.
Mowgli Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 The announcement just says it is a lunchtime KO. I don't see anything indicating that it is on TV
Sour Mash Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 It should be. Get Saints to chuck in free travel and lets take the full allocation up there. Not sure what difference free travel would make - half the people that do away games like Sunderland don't live near enough to Southampton to use it, and many will simply be put off my the early start and length of journey. Free match ticket would be nice though.
trousers Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Who has announced it? (nothing on the club's or the FA's twitter feed yet I don't think)
SNOWY Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Plucky little Sunderland taking on mighty Southampton. Inevitable really.

trousers Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Ah, cheers. Missed it amongst the 101 other tweets they've been pumping out today
trousers Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 (edited) ... Edited 29 January, 2014 by trousers Ignore me
aintforever Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Weird choice, ****er of a time to have to get to sunderland by.
holepuncture Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Nice one, pub lunch and football. LOL exactly. I know ticket monies is peanuts nowadays, but its a major part of the overall product so its a shame it gets thye chicken feed treatment. Saints fans going the length of the country, twice in less than a calendar month, for a lunchtime kickoff is a disgrace and suggests the football authorities do not even consider the away fans in anyway at all when doing the big money deals with the broadcasters. Enjoy your lunch, and the cash that will remain in your pocket!
paulwantsapint Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Could have worse half expected it to be Friday night
Griffo Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 £50 quid spent on trains and my 4th trip to Sunderland in 9/10 months for another poorly thought out kick off time.
Berkshire Saint Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Probably wasn't going to this anyway but definitely no chance now with that kick off time! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Saint_Tony Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Very strange. Maybe BT sport were impressed with us the other day. Surely City v Chelsea will be televised?
fish fingers Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Nice Monday night trip for Hull fans then.
Goalie66 Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 I am going with Legod third coming. Fortunately we are getting the 8.10 train from Kings x which gets in at 11.40 so barring delays should get to the game.Just hope we win as we have to wait for 5.30pm train to return. !! Would be nice if club did something for those fans going as it is a bloody long way and for the third time this season !!
Dr Who? Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 12:45 at Sunderland again. Silly kick off time, but good as I can watch it in the pub before the posh v Walsall game.
ericofarabia Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Oh well. Hull here I come. Toying with the same idea myself. Back in Leigh that week, but flying out early Sunday morning, so Sunderland in the pub at lunchtime is the only realistic option for me .... but a cold wet winter's night in UK's 2017 City of Culture ... what more could one ask for Mrs EoA may not quite see it that way though
ant Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Utterly sodding ridiculous. Still, never mind the travelling hardcore - must prioritise the TV crowd.
mightysaints Posted 29 January, 2014 Posted 29 January, 2014 Typical, get back from skiing and should be home for 3 pm so was hoping to catch the game. No chance now
yorkie Posted 30 January, 2014 Posted 30 January, 2014 Nice cheap tickets - and same at Hull a few days before...but what incentive is there to go when live on TV? Still reckon anyone who makes the trip should be given automatic first shout on semi and or final tickets - like the old voucher scheme of yesteryear. I went for the LC game, and wasn't impressed with the seats now allocated to away fans. Park & ride was OK though - but pubs are a bit of a distance from the ground for a pre-match bevvy. Not sure about this - cheer them on in the mob or sit at home on my own watching a laptop? Seems like a no brainer to me...
