Fulham Build Up Thread

Seems like we'll have quite a few there tomorrow, loads in the neutral end too. So let's get the all important FACTS on the table. With so many of us there it's important we make a good impression on a decent part of London, so no scruff bags please. What is everyone wearing? I'll probably go for timberland shoes, boss cords, a black fine knit boss collared top, a black wax barbour jacket and my grey flat cap. How are you all dressing for the occasion?

You sound giddy with excitement ahead of your big day in the smoke. Did you manage to sleep last night? Just remember to pace yourself pal - tragic seeing things end in tears when the day turns out a bit too much for them.

Wouldn't want Verbal on here commenting on the mores and manners of the provinces...

We really should be winning this one. Fulham are very poor, and it looks like only Holtby is eligible to play from their deadline day signings. Got a bad feeling it'll be another dominant performance, but another draw. 1-1. We will dominate the midfield, but we're not scoring enough goals, maybe it's the day for Big Vic to chip in with one on his return

Boruc

Clyne fonte yoshida shaw

Cork Morgan

Davis lallana j rod

Lambert

Subs: Davis, Gallagher, wanyama, ward prowse, chambers, hooiveld, guly.

I reckon that's likely, although wouldn't drop Chambers. He's keeping Clyne out fairly at the moment.

Clarkey. I don't think it's fairly as Clyne was brilliant before and after he was injured. Hasn't made a mistake at all. Want to include big Vic but could Morgan play Davis role? I doubt it. Either way cork has put himself right up the pecking order.

It's not about Clyne making a mistake at all, he was injured (in fact he's been injured most of the season), Chambers came in and has been absolutely brilliant. You can't just drop a player who has been brilliant just because someone has come back, it's all about earning your place through an oppertunity and Chambers has fully earned his place right now.

I live near Craven Cottage and we see the away crowd wearing that 90s clobber every time there's a home match. Such a relief when they're all gone and we can get back to looking like we're part of the metropolis in 2014. (We can also bring our speedboats back out of hiding.)

I didn't know there was a nut house near the ground.

I don't agree. Think Clyne has earnt his place over last year. However, like chambers too

Schneiderlin

Wanyama

Lallana

Rodriguez

This, except I'd start Gallagher, and bring in Lambert on 60 mins.... let him back in gently. And give the kid another chance to shock 'em. Love the idea of playing Cork Wanyama Schneiderlin. Cork and Wanyama right in front of the back four, giving Spider opportunity to break forward. He can be lethal in the box.

This makes perfect sense

Disgraceful to drop cork.

Disgraceful, don't be soft. Look at Glasgows form guide, is it a coincidence that when VW went out we were a lot poorer defensively. I like Cork as much as everyone else but were stronger defensively when VW plays. He's a tank

The slight puzzle is that Davies keeps his place ahead of Cork. I love Davies, but think Cork overall has been better. MP must see them as two really different positions/skill-sets. Cork breaks up opposition play and distributes, vs Davies a little more creative moving forward. I can see that... but still wish he would try Cork/Vic as partnership with Spider replacing Davies. Truth is, we have plenty of great midfield options, esp when you add JWP to the mix.

We don't have a player called Davies, and Steven Davis plays in a different position and role to Jack Cork. Wanyama and Cork are vying for the same role, Davis plays further forward in the three behind the striker.
